The times they are a-changing in Panem - the dystopian future of The Hunger Games movie quadrilogy - which will continue this fall with the third entry in the series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. Reluctant revolutionary and veteran of the Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen, finds herself living in District 13, the hub of the rebellion against the Capitol, as civil war breaks out across the country.
With Peeta behind enemy lines and some of the rebels seeming less than trustworthy, Katniss must decide where her loyalties will lie as the two opposing forces push towards a final conflict. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will see Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss, as well as the introduction of new cast members including Natalie Dormer as rebel propaganda director Cressida and Julianne Moore as Alma Coin, the president of District 13.
Last week Lionsgate teased the imminent arrival of the first full trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 with a preview in which Katniss holds a white rose, the symbol of Panem's cold-hearted leader President Snow. Now that trailer has arrived, and it looks like the Hunger Games themselves were only a warm up for the challenges ahead.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 was directed by Francis Lawrence, who also helmed the previous entry in the series, Catching Fire, while the screenplay was adapted from Suzanne Collins' novel by Danny Strong (The Butler) and Peter Craig (The Town). Splitting Mockingjay into two films instead of just one is part of a growing trend among young adult novel adaptations; the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises both got the same treatment, and YA sci-fi series Divergent will also have a two-part final chapter.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 opens in U.S. theaters on November 21st, 2014.
