JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will always be one of the most bizarre series of all time, but a new manga called I Am A Humanoid Cultivation Pill is making attempts to surpass its predecessor with only 19 chapters. Over the course of 594 chaptersJoJo's Bizarre Adventure spans numerous generations within the Joestar family and their fight against evil, starting with Jonathan Joestar's rivalry with Dio Brando before expanding further into an alternate universe. Working with such an extensive timeline allows for more diverse plot lines to unfold, which naturally yields more bizarre situations.

Some of these wacky moments transpire during the "Diamond Is Unbreakable" arc, like the unique predicament of the villain Kira's father. His claim to fame might be that he practices the "art" of serial killing, but he's a ghost trapped in a weird place: A polaroid picture, which he can only leave when riding a crow. In the Stardust Crusaders arc, Jotaro Kujo and his fellow Stand users face off against an orangutan named Forever while on their quest to defeat DIO. Forever is not only an orangutan who loves pornography but possesses a Stand that allows him to transform into an actual ship. Meanwhile, a crew member of the Stardust Crusaders named Polnareff learns that a pig has been living in his toilet. During the "Golden Wind" arc, wherein Giorno Giovanna has a gang member decapitate a mobster while keeping him alive, before subjecting the prisoner to a so-called torture dance that's not only ridiculous but just inherently disturbing.

Meanwhile, a mere 19 chapters of the I Am A Humanoid Cultivation Pill manga have only been unofficially translated into English, but a host of utterly bizarre things have already transpired. The plot itself is out there. A group of cultivators ascend a holy mountain to achieve incredible cultivating powers, but only find a naked man wearing a barrel. While strange in and of itself, this mysterious person then claims he's a cultivation pill that can grant anyone who eats a portion of his body incredible powers. What makes this bizarre situation even more ridiculous is that bad things happen to anyone who attempts to eat him. The majority of the unfortunate souls who are foolish enough to take a nibble blow up, but one of them becomes overcome with paranoia instead. This is because she decides to only lick some of the human pill's earwax to avoid blowing up herself. Her paranoia, of course, manifests in a hilarious way, as she finds herself perpetually mistaking all of the men with her as cheating lovers and then naturally proceeds to beat them up.

Even though the pill's purpose is to be eaten and therefore endeavors to ensure this happens, it's still bizarre to see a humanoid relentlessly ask others to eat him. Many of his methods to achieve this are provocative and improper, like the time he pokes a man pretending to be dead in an inappropriate place before shoving his finger in the man's mouth. This isn't even mentioning the weird transformations a tiger undergoes after taking a bite of the pill and, later, when elders of various sects start throwing female pads at each other during an argument and fly around on blow-up dolls.

So while it will be difficult for a new manga like Cultivation Pill to surpass the absurdity of a nearly 600-chapter manga like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the very concept of the former is bizarre while JoJo's is inherently normal: Two families warring against each other. Sure, the number of strange scenarios that befall JoJo's many characters easily eclipses Cultivation Pill and these oddities are much more diverse because the story isn't just contained to one time period. But taking into account the very nature of Cultivation Pill and the already stunning amount of weirdness that has transpired, I Am A Humanoid Cultivation Pill has the potential of surpassing the strangeness of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
