Two siblings tormented by their serial killer and demonic father who has taken everything from them. Hulu released the 10-episode series on October 16th to a bunch of excited fans. But not every episode was well received! Here is a look at the worst and best episodes, ranked according to IMDb.

Worst: Containment - 7.7

When Ana and Daimon go after the skull Ana found in a crypt in hopes of stopping their father's killing spree, they find it missing and Ana's secrets are let out when another body is found. She admits to hunting and killing people she believes deserve to die. Daniella is also confronted with a truth she doesn't agree with when she learns about The Bloods, who put possessed people in comas to protect them.

This episode offers some answers and character development but a lot of time was spent on Ana's murders slowing down the pacing and taking time away from finding and killing the sibling's father.

Best: Underneath - 8.0

Daimon goes back to his childhood home where he endures a flood of memories from the past that still haunt him daily. He is followed by The Bloods but instead of killing them like his father, he shows mercy.

Ana chooses to release Mother from Victoria instead of killing them both which proves to have grave consequences. Gabriella gets possessed by Mother and in a turn of events, turns Daimon into Basar. To seal the deal, audiences are left with an uncomfortable but fortunately quick sex scene between Mother and Daimon.

Worst: The One That Got Away - 7.6

Ana and Daimon Helstrom in Helstrom

Ana's trauma is revealed to go much deeper than anyone expected as she expresses how villainous her father was as well as how involved she was in the horrific crimes he committed. He even used her as bait to pick his victims.

When Daimon and Ana discover that someone was able to escape their father's torture, Daimon, Ana, and Gabriella go to investigate the survivor. This episode is filled with intense scenes, and heartbreaking trauma adding depth and dimension to the characters but it doesn't get them much closer to finding their father.

Best: Leviathan - 8.0

Nurse Spivey returns to Saint Teresa's putting everyone at risk in this heart-racing episode. While Ana, Victoria, and Dr. Hastings are trying to keep Spivey at bay, Daimon and Daniella realize The Bloods have all been killed and the demons have been released. In a suspenseful turn of events, everyone, including Daimon and Daniella is locked inside the institution by Spivey.

After believing they have defeated the demon as well as their father, the episode ends on one of the more exciting cliff hangers as Ana realizes that wasn't their dad.

Worst: Viaticum - 7.5

When a horrific and tragic car accident happens, it's up to Daimon to exorcise the demon keeping a trapped truck driver alive. The truck driver is given one last chance to repent and say goodbye to his family before the demon takes over in a heart-wrenching scene.

While Daimon is handling physical demons, Ana is also battling her own. Including her strained relationship with her mother after she was kidnapped by her serial killer father. The tension is building along with the intricate storyline, but it still leaves a lot more questions than answers for fans and doesn't move the storyline forward as much as it could have. This gives it a lower rating.

Best: Hell Storm - 8.0

With Chris's help, Ana and Victoria are able to forge the knife together so that they can kill Basar and save Daimon. This time it works and Basar is killed but not before Daniella gives birth to the baby who everyone believes to be Kthara. Due to the trauma, Daniella is forced to endure, she becomes a cynical and unsympathetic character. Leaving Daimon heartbroken and fans with an unsatisfactory taste in their mouth.

Some ends are left untied and a lot of questions are left unanswered, which leaves fans scratching their heads and makes for an unsatisfying ending to this 10-episode series. Which ranks this episode lower than others on this list, while simultaneously opening the door for a second season.

Worst: Committed - 7.4

Taking a deep look inside Victoria's thoughts and the battle that is brewing inside, Kthara is revealed as the demon who inhabits Victoria. Kthara is weakened and frightened by the skull that Chris is trying to deliver to Victoria. Kthara tries to trick Victoria into keeping her alive using delusions and visions of the past, but she's too weak, allowing Victoria to take back her body from the demon that possesses her.

Adding another piece to the intricate puzzle while spending almost an entire episode on Victoria's possession makes this episode the second lowest-rated in the series.

Best: Vessels - 8.1

In one of the more unnerving episodes, Gabriella realizes she's pregnant with Mother who is growing at a rapid rate.  Ana tries to cut out Basar from Daimon which only makes him stronger because she only has one half of the knife.

Chris is also dealing with the lasting effects of the skull, beginning to hear whisperings and noticing demonic symbols on his arm. There is a lot for fans to unpack in this episode and it ends on a cliff hanger, leaving audiences chomping at the bit for the final episode.

Worst: Mother's Little Helpers - 7.3

Fans get an introduction to estranged siblings Daimon and Ana who both share unique, supernatural powers as well as their mother, Victoria, who is possessed by a demonic spirit.

While Damion tries to get his mother to tell him why she helped two patients and a nurse escape the institution, Ana explores a crypt leading her back to Portland, where her mother and brother are. Tying the disappearance of the nurse to the demon possessing Victoria and Damion and Ana's serial killer father. The episode is fast-paced but confusing and a lot is thrown at the audience all at once. Which makes it hard to follow and keep up with everything going on.

Best: Scars - 8.1

In a tear-jerking revelation, Daimon learns he and Ana were purposefully separated as children at St. Teresa's by Hastings and Caretaker because they were afraid of Ana's violent tendencies. On the other side of town tensions and suspicion rise between Ana, Chris, and Derrick. Ana follows Derrick after work and nearly kills him but the memory of how she escaped her sadistic father snaps her out of it.

It's revealed just how horrific her father is when Ana was found buried alive by Caretaker. Daimon's true power is also affirmed when the weapon his father used to scar his chest is used against him. With a multitude of intense cliffhangers and characters fighting with each other, this episode comes in as one of the highest-rated episodes on this list.
