Warning! Spoilers for Savage Avengers #2 by Marvel Comics

Marvel's Weapon H has evolved and become something new, as the Hulk/Wolverine hybrid hero just transformed into a Red Hulk resembling that of the monster, Harpy. In Savage Avengers #2 by Marvel Comics, Weapon H finds himself back in time during the Hyborian Age. After needing to escape from a group of angry mercenaries, the hero jumps out of a window, only to take on a surprising new form capable of flying thanks to his Gamma-frequency powers changing his physiology.

Clay Cortez is Marvel's Weapon H, as the Weapon X program turned the former mercenary into a combination hero through experiments that had a range of abilities drawn from the Hulk, Wolverine, Domino, and Sabretooth. Most notably, he has adamantium-coated bones like Wolverine while having Hulk-like powers and appearance. Additionally, Weapon H is held together with Gamma-powered nanobots, preventing his body from being ripped apart each time he transforms. However, Cortez is finding out that his powers still are continuing to change as he just took on his Red Hulk form in the latest issue of the Savage Avengers from Marvel Comics.

In Savage Avengers #2 by David Pepose, Carlos Magno, Espn Grundetjern, and VC's Travis Lanham from Marvel Comics, the newly formed team finds themselves scattered across the Hyborian Age after their fight with Deathlok. For Black Knight and Weapon H, they make a crash landing at Halls of Kordava, where mercenaries and swashbucklers gathered to feast and indulge in mead. After a fight breaks out, Weapon H informs his fellow hero his Gamma core powers won't fire up, but when they jump out a window to escape, the Hulk/Wolverine hybrid hero transforms into something new.

Weapon H Transformation

The Wolverine/Hulk hybrid hero evolves into a winged monster with bird-like features, including giant wings and talons. Weapon H and Black Knight are both stunned by his new powers and transformation that make him appear like Betty Ross' Red Hulk winged-creature, Harpy, last seen in the Defenders miniseries. However, weapon H admits he doesn't know what his new form means for him going forward, as his Gamma frequency, which Deathlok impacted in their fight, transformed him.

Weapon H is Marvel's ultimate combination character, as he was specifically designed to pull different powers and physical features from numerous heroes and villains. However, with his new Red Hulk/Harpy form, the Wolverine/Hulk hybrid has evolved into something new. What Weapon H is capable of now will be explored in future issues of Savage Avengers from Marvel Comics, as it's unlikely this is the last time Clay Cortez will transform in the series.
