Warning: SPOILERS for Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #4The Incredible Hulk is far too strong for the MCU, and Marvel's latest adventure has only confirmed his most dangerous power would never be seen on film. Bruce Banner is one of the strongest physical threats in Marvel Comics, and even in his "smart Hulk" incarnation, he is a true threat to any supervillain. But in Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #4, Hulk's true power is demonstrated to its fullest: his anger.
The Hulk is one of Marvel's oldest creations; as such, his powers, backstory (and even his name) has changed multiple times throughout comics history. Initially, Bruce Banner's alter-ego was colored gray instead of green and still retained his intelligence, albeit tinged with considerable anger and aggression. The Hulk eventually developed his simple speech and green color, along with tremendously increased strength, resistance to most weapons, powerful legs that allowed him to travel miles in a single leap, and other feats that made Hulk a terrifying opponent to fight. Multiple forms of the Hulk emerged, including the Savage Hulk, Joe Fixit, the Professor, and the Green Scar (of Planet Hulk and World War Hulk fame).
In Mech Strike: Monster Hunters #4, written by Christos Gage with art by Paco Diaz, the Hulk has yet another form: an enlarged, monstrous body due to exposure to the magical Eye of the Kraken. Thanos is similarly transformed and the two fight - but the Hulk reminds the Mad Titan of his main power. "The madder the Hulk gets...the stronger the Hulk gets!" he cries while grappling with Thanos. The Wasp warns Hulk of the corruptive influence of the Eye, but Hulk dismisses her. "Hulk is no one's puppet," he asserts as the Hulk nonchalantly tosses Thanos through a wall. "Go away, wrinkle-chin, and don't bother Hulk again."
The Hulk's strength is directly proportionate to his anger, and this is his strongest power - since there is no upper limit to his anger, there is no upper limit to his strength (theoretically). There are plenty of examples depicting the Hulk lifting an incredible amount of weight simply by getting angrier, most notably in 1984's Secret Wars crossover event; the Hulk and multiple heroes are trapped beneath billions of tons worth of rock, and the heroes must make Hulk progressively more and more furious in order for him to break out of the trap. Since this power in movies would be far-fetched from a cinematic standpoint, the Hulk's strength is severely limited in the MCU.
Additionally, Avengers: Endgame concludes with Bruce Banner permanently trapped in his Professor Hulk form, and as such he is unable to give in to his anger. Unfortunately, the Hulk cannot access his strongest ability on film, which is quite detrimental to the Avengers as a whole. The Incredible Hulk's true power can thus never be shown in the MCU - unless, somehow, Bruce Banner reverts to the Savage Hulk once again.
