The Hulk is one of the strongest heroes the Marvel Universe has ever known, as has regularly terrorized even the most powerful villains with his sheer power and rage. In one comic, the Hulk proved he was stronger than the massive dragon monster Fin Fang Foom by throwing the mammoth creature into space from Earth after his opponent said he was the strongest being on the planet.

Fin Fang Foom is one of Marvel Comics' oldest and oddest creatures, first appearing in Strange Tales #89 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, predating characters such as the Hulk and Thor. The 20-ton dragon-like monster (who famously wears purple pants) is from the planet Kakaranathara and first arrived on Earth with a group of shapeshifting aliens who intended on studying and taking over the planet. Foom is a massive green beast who's battled some of Marvel's strongest heroes and worked alongside villains such as the Mandarin. With super-strength, speed, telepathy, and the ability to create a dangerous acid blast breath, Fin Fang Foom is one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe.

In 2008, Marvel Comics published a one-shot Hulk vs. Fin Fang Foom by Peter David, Jorge Lucas, Robert Campanella, Brad Anderson, and Simon Bowland, which featured an epic battle between Marvel's most popular purple pantsed' characters. The story featured Fin Fang Foom freed from being frozen in the arctic, while Bruce Banner was dealing with amnesia after nearly freezing to death himself. The story, sees the Hulk taking on Fin Fang Foom - who transforms into a giant version of himself. After Fin Fang Foom tries to convince Hulk to join him in wiping out the human race, he tells the Jade Giant he's an idiot and he's not the strongest person on Earth as long as he is on the planet. Hulk responds by throwing the dragon into space.

Fin Fang Foom is stunned as the Hulk grabs onto his tail and throws him so far he ends up on the moon. It was definitely the wrong move for Fin Fang Foom to try to claim he was the strongest being on Earth - as Hulk made sure that not only to prove he was stronger but also yeeted him off the planet.

In the end, Fin Fang Foom had to learn that it's not wise to compare his strength's to the Hulk. He gave the longtime Avenger the ammo he needed to really flex his muscles and defeat his opponent with an amazing show of power. Hulk, once again, proved he's the strongest hero on Earth.
