Warning: contains a preview of Hulk #9!

The Hulk will be crash-landing on Hulk Planet, where he will encounter a new character named Monolith, who is the ruler of the world built by Hulks for Hulks. Marvel Comics recently teased the upcoming arc coming to Hulk, which will see the Jade Giant crash land on the planet filled with gamma-monsters, where everything seems to be too good to be true.

Things are only about to get more challenging for the Hulk in his current Marvel Comics series. Starship Hulk is about to take on Titan, a new villain who is being teased as the deadliest Hulk ever. After that, the hero will take on Thor in a battle to determine who is the strongest Avenger. Now, readers know after the Banner of War crossover concludes that the Hulk isn't getting a break, as he will end up on Hulk Planet, where he will come face-to-face with a new mysterious and powerful character, Monolith, who rules the gamma-field paradise.

Marvel Comics revealed a new look at the upcoming Hulk #9 by Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley, where a new arc called "Hulk Planet" will begin. The preview reveals after his battle with Thor, the Hulk will chart a course far away from everything he knows. His attempt at isolation will lead him to crash-land on Hulk Planet, a world filled with Hulk-like creatures who are "thriving under the heat of a gamma star." Hulk will meet Monolith, the planet's ruler who Bruce Banner suspects isn't telling the truth about her true intentions.

Marvel Comics shared the character design from Ryan Ottley of Monolith, as the ruler of Hulk Planet looks like DC's Big Barda mixed with the Power Ranger's Rita Repulsa. Monolith's costume makes her look intimidating, as her helmet has giant horns, while she carries a unique staff weapon. It's not clear whether Monolith is a friend or foe, but considering the tease about her lack of honesty, the Hulk probably should be cautious about trusting her.

Monolith won't be the only new gamma-fueled character introduced in the upcoming 'Hulk Planet' arc, as a handful of new faces will be revealed as the Hulk navigates the planet. However, the paradise she rules definitely seems too good to be true, as the Hulk will soon find out. Monolith will debut in the pages of Hulk #9 by Marvel Comics, which will arrive in comic book stores and online retailers in July.
