While Tower of Fantasy is a PvE-oriented MMORPG, it also contains PvP activities for the more competitive-hungry players. The game's primary PvP Mode is Apex League and does not become available until a specific condition has been met. On the other hand, players can engage in a combative system in Tower of Fantasy known as "Sparring," which can be commenced at any level, anywhere, and at any time. To spar another player, open their profile window and select the "Spar" option to challenge them to a duel.
However, the main drawback of Sparring in Tower of Fantasy is that the two players do not have restrictions in terms of Wanderer Level, Gear Level, or SSR ascensions. In other words, a maxed account can take on a free-to-play player or dolphin if the other party agrees to the fight. Of course, such a situation scarcely occurs, as there is no monetary incentive or achievement-related motivation for defeating another Wanderer in the open world of Aesperia. Conversely, Apex League features a more organized system of rewards, leaderboards, and titles for those who engage in this PvP activity.
To unlock PvP via the Apex League in Tower of Fantasy, players must reach a Wanderer Level of 31, after which the option to participate will become available via the Adventure handbook in the "Challenge" tab. Apex League markets itself as a "balanced PvP" experience, yet seasoned players might argue that the system is anything but balanced.
How PvP Works In Tower Of Fantasy
Nevertheless, those who participate in Apex League and grind matches to climb the ranks will receive a seasonal title and Dark Crystals for their efforts. Newcomers will begin their PvP journey in Tower of Fantasy as a Private. As they win or lose games, their rank will gradually become more distinguished with titles such as Sergeant, Star General, or Grand Marshal, the highest rank in Apex League. Those who manage to reach Grand Marshal will receive the Dust Wheeler, the Vehicle that resembles the TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike in Star Wars. Attaining this status is far from easy, making this Mount likely the rarest Vehicle in Tower of Fantasy.
Much like other gameplay aspects of Tower of Fantasy, Apex League can be fun but is somewhat unpolished. If the combatant is not facing another real player, their opponent will be replaced with an AI with a generic name. If the opponent does turn out to be another player, then there's a good chance server lag will make the experience rather unappealing. Accordingly, despite the ranking and 1v1 combat system of Apex League being theoretically functional, most players will likely not engage in Tower of Fantasy's PvP due to performance issues or imbalance.
