Like most recent Pokémon games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have version exclusives that players can trade with one another. Therefore, finishing a PokéDex for both versions requires trading and interacting with the community. However, in-game version exclusive cosmetics cannot be traded or changed. Therefore, since the ridable "box-legendaries" are version-exclusive, trainers cannot ride Miradon in Pokémon Scarlet, and the same goes for Koraidon in Pokémon Violet.
Although some Pokémon are version exclusive in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, an alternate form of that Pokémon can be found in the other title. In Pokémon Scarlet, the regular version of Tyranitar and Hydreigon can be found, while in Pokémon Violet, Iron Thorns, and Iron Jugulis are in Area Zero. Both Tyranitar and Hydreigon are Paradox Forms of the Pokémon and have different typing and stats.

Trading Version Exclusives
Trading version exclusives can be done by accessing its multiplayer modes in local or online play. While in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, click on the X button and select the Poké Portal. Trainers will see options for connecting with friends, such as the Union Circle, Battle modes, Trading modes, and Tera Raids. The best way of obtaining a version of exclusive Pokémon is through Tera Raiding, which can be done in both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet versions. Additionally, selecting the Surprise Trade option for online play will give trainers a chance at obtaining a version exclusive, but it is entirely random which Pokémon one can get, and trainers should always be wary of surprise trades in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Trading Paradox Form
After finishing the credit scenes of the game, trainers will have access to catching the Paradox forms in Area Zero of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. According to NintendoLife, Paradox form Pokémon cannot be bred, and they roam around the map like regular wild Pokémon so that trainers can catch multiple of them when exploring the open-world. After catching multiple of them, help other trainers by offering to trade them for the opposite version's Paradox Pokémon. Whether locally playing with friends or finding a community on social media, trainers can complete the Paldean PokéDex easily after beating Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's story.
