With iOS 16, iPhone users can easily set different home screen and lock screen wallpapers. Apple's latest mobile operating system adds more customization options to the iPhone than ever. For instance, users can customize their lock screen font color and widgets. Further, managing notifications in iOS 16 is much easier than in iOS 15. Scheduling Focus Modes is yet another feature that debuted in the current version of iOS.

To set a new lock screen wallpaper, head to the 'Settings' app on the iPhone and select 'Wallpaper.' In the menu that opens, hit 'Add New Wallpaper' to open the collection. Those who want to design a wallpaper with an emoji pattern, a photo, or a picture of the local weather, should select from the options at the top. These include Photos, People, Photo Shuffle, Emoji, Weather, Astronomy, and Color. For instance, selecting Photos will open the iPhone's gallery and provide access to all the pictures clicked from the phone.

Users should select a picture and adjust the fit on the next screen. Then they should tap the 'Add' button in the top right corner and choose 'Set as Wallpaper Pair.' This should set the image as both the lock and home screens. To then set a different photo as the home screen wallpaper, users should tap the 'Customize' button below the home screen preview. On the following screen, hit the 'Photo' button toward the bottom and select another image from the iPhone's gallery. To adjust the aspect, pinch to zoom in or out on the image and slide from right to left to experiment with different filters.

Once the wallpaper is set, hit 'Done' in the top right corner. Users can blur the image to boost the app's visibility or keep it clear. Finally, they should press 'Done' again in the top right corner, and that's it. The operating system will save the image as the phone's home screen wallpaper. The method mentioned above also works for iPhone's featured wallpaper set. Users should be careful of following the steps in order; otherwise, it won't work.

There are plenty of options if one chooses to create a wallpaper out of an emoji. First, users can create a wallpaper with almost any emoji on their keyboard. Second, they get multiple options to make small or large patterns with various emojis. In iOS 16, one can also change the two wallpapers from the lock screen. All users have to do is press and hold on the iPhone's lock screen, swipe left or right to browse the available options, and tap to choose one.
