Certain upgrades for characters in Honkai: Star Rail are locked until players raise their Equilibrium Level, an important part of progression in the game that lets party members get far stronger. Similar to World Levels from Genshin Impact, a higher Equilibrium Level lets players earn better rewards. However, there are trials to raising this Level that can be difficult to complete if players go into them unprepared.
Players must reach Trailblazer Level 20 and complete the first part of the game's story before gaining the ability to raise their Equilibrium Level. After this, a trial will unlock named the "Trial of the Equilibrium," acting as a challenge of sorts. Depending on who players have decided to build a team with, this challenge may be incredibly easy or fairly difficult. Thankfully, there are no limitations to how many times the trial can be attempted.
How To Raise Equilibrium Level
Selecting the Trial from the Quests menu takes players immediately into a fight with several powerful enemies that must be defeated to raise the Equilibrium Level. Usually, players must travel to a specific area to find these buffed foes, but this comes with a risk. Every enemy found in a world with a high Equilibrium Tier is far stronger than normal, which may catch players off guard if they simply jump into this challenge recklessly.
Players have to defeat every powerful enemy in a Trial of Equilibrium in order to raise their Equilibrium Level.
Beating every enemy in the Trial increases the player's Equilibrium Level by 1. Several high-tier rewards are received as well, hopefully giving players plenty of materials for Ascension for the characters that helped overcome the tougher enemies. In addition, players now have increased rewards from daily events such as Echo of War, Cavern of Corrosion, and others within worlds with a higher Equilibrium Tier.
How To Unlock More Equilibrium Trials
More Trials are unlocked as players progress into Trailblazer levels 30, 40, 50, 6,0, and 65, giving them more chances to raise their Equilibrium Level. Much like the first time, players will have to complete another challenge to raise their Level, but there does not seem to be an Equilibrium Trial at Trailblazer Level 70 (max level).
Whether the punishing enemies encountered are simple Direwolves or a Voidranger: Trampler in Honkai Star Rail, players will need to bring their best party members as these Trials get harder. Those who learn how to raise the Equilibrium Level in Honkai: Star Rail can find better rewards from worlds with bigger Equilibrium Tiers that significantly ease the game's grind.
