The Ice Cauldron, characterized by snowy peaks and a fiery volcano, is one of the three new biomes introduced in Forza Horizon 5's latest Hot Wheels expansion. This biome features four notable landmarks: Magma Canyon, The Frozen Apostles, Dragon's Fall, and The Cauldron. Naturally, these landmarks only make up a fraction of The Ice Cauldron's map, which holds various collectibles, races, and other challenges for drivers to complete. However, before players are able to participate in this area's exciting activities in Forza Horizon 5, they must first understand how to reach the zone.

First, before players can enter The Ice Cauldron in Forza Horizon 5, they must own the Hot Wheels DLC. Xbox or PC Game Pass members who've played the game will still need to purchase the expansion separately, as it is not part of their subscription's bonuses. After acquiring Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, ensure that the game is updated and enter the default map of Mexico. The Hot Wheels Park is a massive region floating in the sky. Therefore, players cannot enter the zone by normal driving means but must instead travel to an event-like map marker located between the Caldera and Guanajuato.

After arriving at the Hot Wheels DLC icon, a cutscene will play of the protagonist driver being propelled up a ramp leading upward through the clouds to the Hot Wheels Park location in Forza Horizon 5. During this gameplay segment, players will be able to control their vehicle but unable to deviate from the track until reaching the Hot Wheels Outpost at the center of The Nexus. However, they will experience a preview of all three of the expansion's new biomes, including The Ice Cauldron.

After the initial Hot Wheels tutorial is finished, the protagonist will be able to get to The Ice Cauldron on their own. To reach this frigid zone in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, drive down the southwestern track branching out from The Nexus. After passing through several Air Tracks, the player should reach The Ice Cauldron within less than a minute.

Below are some of the main activities that The Ice Cauldron in Hot Wheels features within its biome:

  • Main DLC Quest: Hot Wheels Rookie Qualifier - "Ice, Ice, Maybe?"
  • Two Hazard Racing Events: "Snow Fields Hazard Circuit" in Forza Horizon 5 | "Lava Loop Hazard Sprint"
  • Two Speed Racing Events: "Hot Wheels Goliath" | "Dragon's Fall Speed Circuit"
  • XP Boards ×8 to discover along the tracks
  • Tank Balloons ×6 to find within the map
