Telesto is an Exotic Void Fusion Rifle that Guardians can earn in Destiny 2. The Void weapon is notorious in the community for its dominance in both PvP and PvE content. This has resulted in Bungie continuously rebalancing Telesto each season. However, the gun somehow remains a powerhouse among Fusion Rifles. All Guardians should collect one of the best Void Exotics in the game.
Players can earn Telesto as a world drop by opening any Exotic Engram. Guardians can find these extremely rare items in a multitude of activities and they have a slight chance to drop from any defeated enemy. Fortunately, Guardians can complete high-level Vanguard Nightfalls in Destiny 2 to raise the odds of finding an Exotic Engram. An alternative method for acquiring Telesto is to visit Xur each weekend. This vendor has a rotating inventory of Exotics and can sell the Fusion Rifle directly. Guardians can also redeem one Exotic Engram and turn in an Exotic Cipher for an additional Engram. Players can earn a Cipher either from the seasonal reward track or by completing a quest from Xur.
How To Get The Telesto Catalyst in Destiny
Many Exotic weapons in the game have Catalysts that will augment the weapon's abilities. This upgrade is almost necessary for some guns because it changes how the Exotic functions. The Telesto Catalyst is randomly dropped from completing any Master or Legend Lost Sector in Destiny 2. These are on a set rotation daily, often varying in difficulty. The Catalyst is not guaranteed to drop from the final chest of the activity and may require multiple completions. For this reason, Guardians should wait until a Lost Sector in the EDZ can be challenged on Legend and Master difficulty. They are the fastest Lost Sectors and have the least amount of enemies to defeat.
Telesto comes with a curated set of Perks in Destiny 2. Instead of the typical four Traits, this weapon only has three. Telesto is given the Projection Fuse Battery to increase range. The weapon also comes with the Polymer Grip for improved handling. The Exotic Perk in Destiny 2 for Telesto is called Harbinger's Pulse. Multi kills with this weapon immediately reload the magazine from reserves. This is further helped by the Intrinsic Trait of Unplanned Reprieve. Fusion projectiles will attach and detonate with a delayed Void blast. Each pulse shoots a wide spread of projectiles and can hit multiple targets. The Catalyst grants the Perk Deeper Pockets, which adds three rounds to the magazine and increases the inventory size by 40.
Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2 are close to mid-range weapons. They deal immense damage at the cost of a charge-up time. This can make hitting agile targets difficult, but Telesto fixes this issue. In addition, the Fusion projectiles track, making it easy to trigger the instant reload from Harbinger's Pulse. Guardians looking to earn a fantastic Void Fusion Rifle will not find a better option than Telesto in Destiny 2.
