Unfortunately, players cannot playfully hurl Snowballs at the Villagers in Dreamlight Valley, but these round balls of snow are useful for various activities. For instance, Dreamers need Snowballs to craft Snowmen for decorating their homes or fulfilling Star Path Duties. Snowballs are also occasionally used in quests, such as Elsa's Level 6 Friendship Quest, "The Singing Ice."
Accordingly, knowing how to find and farm Snowballs in Disney Dreamlight Valley is essential to gameplay progression, as the resource is used in important player activities. Snowballs can be found within the Frosted Plateau, the north eastern most biome in the Valley. This biome shares its border with the Forest of Valor, a zone north of Dazzle Beach and east of the Plaza. Newcomers must first unlock the Forest of Valor with 3,000 Dreamlight, as there is no way to reach the Frosted Heights' entrance from the Plaza. Next, another investment of 10,000 Dreamlight will be required to access this frosty biome.

Players must equip Disney Dreamlight Valley's Royal Shovel and begin digging in random plots of earth in the biome. Some spots will yield Soil, while others might produce Snowballs. While the exact drop rate is unknown, players can compare this process to farming Clay in the Glade of Trust or Sunlit Plateau. Use the shovel to unearth the ground until the desired resource has been found.
There is an alternate way to get Snowballs if players have progressed far enough in Kristoff's character questline. Similar to Goofy's Stall, Kristoff's Stall is a shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley that sells a variety of raw and refined resources from the biomes of the Valley. These materials include refined items like Glass and Fiber or basic resources like Stone and Snowballs. The shop is convenient if players want to avoid farm Snowballs in the Frosted Heights and instead wish to get the Snowballs they need by spending Star Coins in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, keep in mind that Kristoff's offerings are randomized and will change daily, meaning Snowballs might only sometimes be available.
