Players can use a hidden strategy using perk combinations to gain upwards of 11.25 Intelligence Points for an hour when eating an item called a Brain Bomb. The Curator perk, the Live, Laugh, and Love #3 perk magazine, the Strange in Numbers perk, and the Herbivore mutation provides the right relationship between player stats to induce this power-up for a limited duration, allowing a steady growth in XP for higher ranks. The reason why Intelligence is considered so important by players of Fallout 76 and its updates comes from the 2% boost given to XP received per attribute, making the focus on this aspect the most important feature for gaining ranks.

Other options that exist within Fallout 76 for increasing Intelligence are:

• Wearing the Unyielding Intelligence Armor - Players that use all pieces of this armor set and sometimes combine it with other stat-boosting items, such as the underarmor with Shield Casual Lining, may earn up to 20 extra XP at a time.
• Berry Mentats Injection - When also using the Chem Fiend perk, players can gain 5 Intelligence for eight minutes when using this Injection.
• Mutation - If players happen to have the Egg Head mutation and Herd Mentality mutation, a feat that becomes possible with the Strange in Numbers perk, it gives them 7.5 Intelligence and 2.5 Intelligence, respectfully.
• Night-Person - Maximizing the Night-Person perk gives 3 points to the Intelligence attribute for customization options in Fallout 76.
• Read a Magazine - An Intelligence point is granted for one hour to players who read the Zeta Invaders or Atomic Command magazines.
