Conditional Finality is the newest Shotgun added to Destiny 2 with the introduction of the Root of Nightmares Raid. This powerful weapon is incredibly unique, able to freeze and ignite enemies. Conditional Finality is excellent for eliminating the threat of Unstoppable Champions in high-level content. Besides a boss, this Shotgun is efficient at dispatching most enemies in PvE content. This gun performs well in PvP, but Guardians must close the gap to their target. Conditional Finality is most effective in close-quarter combat.

Like The Touch of Malice in Destiny 2, Guardians can only earn the Conditional Finality as a drop from the final encounter in the Raid. Luckily, Root of Nightmares is one of the easiest Raids in the game. Guardians will still need proper loadouts when challenging Root of Nightmares, but earning Conditional Finality is an achievable goal for many players.

The Conditional Finality Exotic Shotgun in Destiny 2 has a curated roll featuring some unique Perks. Shortened Barrel significantly improves handling at the cost of slightly reducing range and stability. The Intrinsic Trait for Conditional Finality is called Split Decision, splitting the double barrel into Solar and Stasis damage. This synergizes with the Exotic Trait, Paracausal Pellets, which states, "Landing nearly all Stasis pellets will freeze targets; landing nearly all solar pellets will ignite targets." As mentioned, Conditional Finality is incredible for defeating Unstoppable Champions because both Stasis shatter damage and Ignitions stun these elite foes. This Shotgun also has an Alloy Magazine, which reloads the weapon faster when the magazine is empty. Fortunately, Conditional Finality only holds two rounds, so activating this effect is easy. Lastly, the weapon has the Textured Grip Perk, significantly increasing handling speed at the cost of a slight decrease in stability.

Conditional Finality is a truly unique Exotic weapon in Destiny 2. Guardians that have not had the weapon drop for them can view a review by Aztecross on YouTube. In the video, he discusses and shows how the weapon operates in both PvP and PvE. Additionally, this gun synergizes with both Stasis and Solar builds. For example, the Solar Fragment Ember of Char spreads Scorch to targets after an Ignition. Now the Contest Mode for the Root of Nightmares Raid has ended, all Guardians should gather a Fireteam and get the Conditional Finality.
