The Inkquisitor is a Halloween-themed NPC Boss in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 that players can defeat to earn massive XP and receive powerful weaponry. Wielding six times the stats of normal players, the Inkquisitor is a formidable foe that can be a handful, even for a group of challengers. Therefore, those looking to find and defeat this Boss NPC are encouraged to gather some healing items and find a decent weapon before confronting this spooky, well-armed opponent.

To find the Inkquisitor in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4, players must travel to Grim Gables, a haunted manor located near the snowy border southeast of Chromejam Junction. The mansion sits on the southern side of the farmstead and is quite hard to see due to its large size. After arrival, players should grab a weapon and several restorative items before heading down to the basement below Grim Gables. In this underground cellar, Fortnite fans will discover a ritual circle with a Cthulhu-shaped head on the ground, surrounded by unlit braziers. Walking over this circle will light the braziers, and the Inkquisitor will emerge after a bloodcurdling screech.

The Inkquisitor in Fortnite does not fight alone. The homestead of Grim Gables will become overrun with Fortnite's hostile Zombies that will pursue any nearby players. However, clearing these undead henchmen is optional to beat the Inkquisitor.

Finding the Map Location of the Inkquisitor Ritual Circle in Fortnite

While the method of battling the Inkquisitor in Fortnite will vary depending on player preference or users' currently equipped weaponry, there are two strategies that combatants can employ to defeat this NPC Boss easily. The first method has been suggested by YouTuber HarryNinetyFour and involves using the elevated entrance to a tunnel near the Boss's ritual circle as a vantage point to poke him from a safe distance. The Inkquisitor should be unable to reach the combatants' position but will occasionally hurl Firefly Jars that will burn the rafters above the basement area. However, since players are fighting this enemy from the stone tunnel, their platform will not catch on fire, enabling them to quickly take cover whenever needed.

Another way to trounce the Inkquisitor as a solo player is by trapping the NPC Boss in Fortnite using Structures. YouTube content creator ChillNikov has provided gameplay footage during which they trapped the Boss by building walls around the enemy. Next, players can easily confuse the NPC's AI by forcing them to be stuck in a small area. This strategy enables players an easy way to shoot the Inkquisitor without lots of dodging and healing. However, combatants must still be mindful of patrolling Zombies in Fortnite.
