Introduced in Pokémon X and Y's Generation VI, Klefki is a Steel- and Fairy-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that many Trainers might agree would be highly beneficial if it existed in real life. This Key Ring pocket monster becomes very happy whenever an individual gives it a key and makes sure never to lose it for its entire existence. While it is unknown if humans in Paldea have trouble keeping track of their keys, having an entrusted creature hold important keys for safekeeping would undoubtedly benefit many in the real world.

As one would expect, Klefki's ability to hold keys is less practical in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but luckily, finding this Steel- and Fairy-type pocket monster in Paldea is relatively easy. This Key Ring Pokémon can only spawn in two locations: outside the settlement of Alfornada and near Montenevera at the center of Glaseado Mountain. According to its in-game description, this pocket monster inhabits areas "near towns and cities," meaning that it is safe to say that Trainers do not need to travel far outside of Alfornada or Montenevera to encounter a Wild Klefki.

Klefki Wild Encounter and Map Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Depending on where Trainers encounter Klefki in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Key Ring pocket monster might be between Levels 37 and 42. Using an Ultra Ball is likely the easy way to capture this key-holding creature quickly. However, those lacking this rare Poké Ball type will need to understand this Pokémon's elemental resistances and weaknesses to weaken it for an increased catch chance. As a Steel- and Fairy-type pocket monster, Klefki is immune to Poison- and Dragon-type Moves. It is also resistant to Bug-, Normal-, Grass-, Ice-, Flying-, Psychic-, Rock-, Dark-, and Fairy-type Movesets.

On the other hand, Klefki can be quickly subdued when attacked with Fire- or Ground-type abilities in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Accordingly, the Fire- or Ground-type Camerupt would be an excellent combatant for beating the Key Ring pocket monster into submission. However, be cautious when giving Camerupt or other combatants a Held Item before facing Klefki. This creature comes with a Hidden Ability known as Magician, capable of stealing the Held Item of an opponent when attacking with a Move. According to Game8, catching Klefki in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can also yield Klefki Keys, a TM crafting material used for making the Technical Machines, Flash Cannon TM093, and Misty Terrain TM139.
