Capsakid, the Spicy Pepper Pokémon, exists as a unique pocket monster exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, among the other Grass-types within the game. A rarer addition to a player's team, Capsakid can be difficult to find as they remain in limited areas of the open-world map. However, boasting decent HP and above-average Special Attack and Attack statistics, Capsakid does well on a roster that emphasizes offense when tackling different rivals across the sprawling missions that make up the narratives of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Players that want to equip their group of Pokémon with a Capsakid should explore the Asado Desert in the West Province of Area 1 to find this Grass-type. A relatively small Pokémon, Capsakid may take some searching to identify, but players looking in the Desert should be able to spot the Spicy Pepper's green hue juxtaposed with the tan shades of the Asado Desert. An incentive exists for players whose teams struggle against Water-, Rock-, or Ground-types, such as a rival's Quaxly in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, to gain a Capsakid. However, players also need to be aware that the evolution for Capsakid turns into a Grass-and Fire-type Scovillain, which covers against the normal weaknesses of the Grass-type while boosting its offensive prowess.
Capsakid's Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The West Province of Area 1, the Paldea Region, has an area called the Asado Desert, where players may find Capsakid available among the variety of Pokémon in the cliffs and sands of this section. Although Capsakid might be a rarer find for players, going to sections near the Terra encounters of Cyclizar or Sandygast gives landmarks that prevent players from getting lost while trying to find Capsakid. A Capsakid either has the Chorophyll or Insomnia Ability, with the former meaning that Capsakid has increased Speed when in Sunlight, a condition caused by moves such as Sunny Day or Abilities like Drought. Insomnia prevents Capsakid from being put to sleep, an Ability more commonly associated with Slowpoke, which can be incredibly useful for trainers struggling against opponents who induce that condition through moves like Sleep Powder or Hypnosis. Grass-types like Capsakid or Smoliv in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allow players to flush out their teams when challenging Team Star or attempting to acquire Gym Badges throughout their extensive journey in the Region.
