The Apple Watch has a really fun feature that lets users create their own Memoji to set as watch faces and Apple also makes it easy to use these cute characters in Messages. Of course, Memoji can be made on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac but it feels a bit more personal to use a wearable to create a new digital avatar. When waiting for an appointment or meeting, a few minutes is enough time to make a unique face for the Apple Watch for a fresh new look.

The Apple Watch is worn right against the skin and becomes a daily companion, reminding the wearer to take breaks, move more, and even has a hand-washing timer to help prevent the spread of germs. By letting the owner choose a case color and band, it can even represent their style, making it a fashion accessory as well as a health and fitness tool.

Using Memoji On An Apple Watch

It's easy to create or edit Memoji using the Apple Watch's dedicated Memoji app. Afterward, it's quite fun to use one of the characters as a watch face. When viewing any watch face, pressing and holding will enter the watch face library, and swiping left past the last face will reveal a plus sign. After tapping to create a new face, the user can scroll about halfway through the alphabetical list to find the Memoji face and select it. Any character can be chosen or select All Memoji to automatically cycle through each custom Memoji that has been made.

To use Memoji in messages, the user can open or create a new message, tap the Application icon in the lower-left corner beside the text box, then the Memoji icon to select a character. A list of expressions will appear and tapping one will immediately send it as a message. Memoji are an entertaining way to make a chat more fun when using the Messages app and can be a great conversation starter when used as a watch face on an Apple Watch.
