With the annual Solstice well underway in Destiny 2 this year, Guardians will need to complete the Bonfire Bash activity time after time in order to make the most of everything that the event has to offer in its limited three weeks. This year, Solstice has multiple parts to the event that need to be progressed at the same time in order to fully upgrade the Candescent armor set. Bonfire Bash plays a critical role in upgrading the Solstice armor as Guardians will need to interact with their newly stoked bonfire to transform their Silver Leaves into Silver Ash.

Before diving into Bonfire Bash, players will need to get more Silver Leaves in Destiny 2. This Solstice currency is earned by completing any other activity while wearing the Candescent armor set. While it isn't used to upgrade the armor directly, players will have to complete the Bonfire Bash activity in order to turn Silver Leaves into Silver Ash. Silver Ash can then be imbued into the helm, gauntlets, chest, and leg pieces. The class item cannot be upgraded like the rest of the set, but that's because upgrading the Candescent armor will reroll the stats that it currently has.

The maximum amount of Silver Leaves that can be obtained is 100 stacks, and more of the currency can be turned into Silver Ash for every additional piece of the Candescent armor set that is worn. Bonfire Bash tasks Guardians with defeating as many Ignition Carriers as possible to stoke the flames of the fire. The larger the fire, the more rewards players will get when they interact with the bonfire at the end of the activity. Bonfire Bash can be launched from the Tower via the activity north of the central landing zone.

How To Complete Bonfire Bash In Destiny 2

Once Bonfire Bash begins, the fireteam will need to clear the EAZ of its Taken inhabitants. Afterward, the next step of the activity requires players to Stoke the Bonfire. Seek out the glowing enemies around the arena, pick up the orbs they drop, and throw them into the bonfire to successfully stoke the flames. Guardians will likely play Bonfire Bash for the first time as they complete the Celebrating Solstice quest, but it's important to remember that more Taken interference and the Heat Drinker final boss are cleared out as well.

After the Heat Drinker boss has been defeated, return to the bonfire. Guardians must physically interact with the fire in order to receive their rewards. Repeat Bonfire Bash as many times as it takes in Destiny 2 to fully upgrade the Candescent armor.
