Auto looting is initially turned off in Lost Ark. Rather than being just a feature to toggle on via an options menu, quickly gathering up tons of loot is the job of the player’s pet. One of these loveable sidekicks can be gained either by completing the early story quests or purchasing one with real-life money.

While Lost Ark is an MMO, it shares many features with action RPGs like Diablo and Path of Exile. This includes loots of individual items that drop off slain enemies, from roaming monsters to intense boss fights. However, without the use of a pet, it can become a daunting slog to gain items individually.

Auto looting is much more readily accessible to those that have any of Lost Arks’ Founders Packs of any level. However, even those who choose to play for free will eventually get the option of auto-loot. The latter will have to go through an early chunk of the story, meaning manually looting each item for the first 10 or so levels. Still, there is no need to feel obligated to rush or pay for premium goods.

Auto Looting Using Pets in Lost Ark

How to Auto-Loot in Lost Ark

Player characters have no way of quickly grabbing loot themselves. However, it is a feature of the pet system. With any pet summoned, they will scurry around and pick up dropped items that drop from chests or defeated enemies. There are two means of acquiring a pet:

  • Own a Premium Pet: either by purchasing any of the Founder’s Packs or buying a pet from the in-game store
  • Use the White Bunny: Gained from unlocking a Prideholme Guide Quest via the Lost Ark main story

For the latter option, players will need to complete the level 11~13 main story quest "Demons in Prideholme." This will involve rescuing various townspeople from danger within the burning city. This will eventually lead one to the city chapel and a confrontation between the priest Varut and one of the main antagonists, Kharmine. After the battle, speak to the surviving NPCs to watch a cutscene, which will be followed by awakening in an inn. From here, head to the innkeeper and accept the Guide Quest "Learning About Pets."

This quest first begins with speaking to Blueberry, who is in the town’s square. Next, she will have players open up a jar of rice, which will explode with items. Pick each of these up individually and then speak to Blueberry again. Now, head down the nearby stairs and talk to Redberry. Select the option to know more about pets, and she will direct you directly to the Working Achetemeow. Listen to everything it has to say to be rewarded the White Bunny.

Selecting the White Bunny will bind it to the entire Lost Ark account, allowing any newly made characters to start with the pet right from the start. This also means players will not need to complete Learning About Pets a second time. Now hit ALT + P to summon the White Rabbit or any other pet. The pets will gather up any loot automatically, including if one chooses to open up the Blueberry’s rice jar in the future.
