Honest Trailers put their snarky spin on the 2000 movie adaption of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, calling the flick "exhausting." Ron Howard's take on the classic Christmas tale sees Jim Carrey as everyone's favorite green humbug who attempts to thwart St. Nick's day. Carrey's portrayal of the Grinch has gone down in Christmas history, earning the performer various awards upon release and much fan acclaim. The movie itself was also decorated, winning an Oscar for best makeup.

As the The Grinch sleds onto television sets each Christmas, many have been gunning for Honest Trailers to release their take. Honest Trailers finally delivered with a rhyming narration in the style of Seuss. Ultimately, Honest Trailers calls the classic "exhausting," likening it to an overdose of sugar. Watch the full video below:

Honest Trailers makes several funny quips during the montage. For one thing, they point out Carey's penchant for playing crazy (and two-worded) green characters: the Riddler, the Grinch and the Mask. While they highlight Carrey's stellar performance, the team jokes that the only reason audiences empathize with his role is because they know he had to endure a painful hair and makeup routine onset.

In the end, Honest Trailers retitles How the Grinch Stole Christmas as 10 Things I Hate About Who. The spoof trailer certainly had a bevy of input, as it doesn't take a clear stance on whether or not they like the film. Although it's all in good fun, they do call the film exhausting, and that's simply not true. The only exhausting thing about it is the amount of energy Carrey exuded while filming. Over two decades later, he's undoubtedly still resting.
