On The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle Bryant's comments about Chris Bassett prompted Candiace Dillard to become the first to break the fourth wall. Gizelle and Candiace have gotten along well over the years. However, season 7 has opened a new chapter that put a wedge between the two RHOP stars. With Michael Darby out of the picture, Gizelle appears to be finding a new husband to pick a fight with.This time around, Chris has become the new target, and The Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace is not having it. Episode 2 saw Gizelle confront Candiace about her suspicions that Chris was getting friendly with the other women, via Instagram DMs. Series fan Anthony Dominic shared a clip of Candiace and Gizelle's confrontation. In the video, Candiace got so upset about Gizelle's claims against her husband that she stormed off the set, and called the producers. Anthony loved it when Candiace defended her man during the messy situation, and broke the fourth wall, feeling that both actions were iconic. Candiace questioned how Gizelle could claim she felt uncomfortable during a private conversation with Chris, during the season 6 reunion, when Chris has gone so far as to show Gizelle (and her female costars) that he is a gentleman, and a friend to them. "You want to say that my husband made you feel uncomfortable?" Candiace asked Gizelle, to which she responded, "100 percent!"
RHOP's Candiace Goes Off On Show Producers
Once The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle told Candiace not to "diminish" how uncomfortable she felt while being alone with Chris in her dressing room, Candiace looked directly at the producers, and then at the cameras. She asked, "what are we doing?" Candiace then proceeded to walk off the set, grab her bag, and call the show producer, Eric Fuller. Once alone with Eric, she remarked, "I don't need the camera, I need to talk to Eric." She warned, "If it's going to be about maligning my fu*king husband, you don't want me here." She went on to call out Michael Darby, "the a** grabbing motherfu*ker that likes to actually make people feel uncomfortable." The other women looked visibly taken aback by Candiace's outburst.
However, her rant was ignited by Gizelle and Ashley Darby making claims against Chris. Fans who watched the intense scene appeared to side with Candiace, and shamed Gizelle for seemingly finding a new marriage to attack, amid Ashley's divorce from Michael. "Gizelle doing her typical Lisa Rinna behaviour creating a storyline by destroying another life," @MarkJCampbell wrote in response to the exchange. Another called Gizelle's behavior "nasty," and @nstewart278 noted the "smurk" that the OG had on her face, when she realized that she gotten under Candiace's skin.
Viewers have watched Gizelle go after a few marriages on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Karen and Ray Huger were her first target. Alums Monique and Chris Samuels felt Gizelle's wrath as well. Ashley and Michael were the talks of the town for years, due to Michael's questionable antics. However, with Ashley and Michael separating, and Michael opting out of filming the show, Gizelle seemingly needed to find a new couple to attack. Nonetheless, Candiace and Chris aren't going down without a fight. Gizelle has found herself the right one, who's willing to go toe to toe with the show OG.
