The hit crime drama How To Get Away With Murder has wrapped up after six incredible seasons, with secrets coming out, a final trial, and a flash-forward at the end. Now fans know exactly what happens to Annalise Keating and her crew, after the murders in the first season brought them all together.

However, which characters got a satisfying ending, and one that they deserved... and which character endings were just a little bit of a let down? From those that broke our hearts to the ones that bored us, and even the ones that had fans cheering at the finale, which of the main characters got a fitting finish?

Deserved More: Bonnie

Bonnie Winterbottom in How To Get Away With Murder

Bonnie Winterbottom is one of the most tragic characters - an impressive feat, in a series filled with tragic characters. Throughout her life she was abused, and spent her time as an adult trying to win the love and approval of others (primarily Annalise). For a while there, it seemed like she and Frank might get a happy ending, but that was ruined in the end. Instead of happiness, she ends up being shot by a stray bullet, trying to save Frank - and she dies on the courthouse steps in Annalise's arms. She deserved a little more happiness, surely?

Fitting: Nate

Nate Lahey in How To Get Away With Murder

Nate Lahey is basically a good guy - he wanted to be a good cop, he wanted to help Annalise, and yet he got dragged into the depths of their conpiracies, and even ended up having his father killed after they finally started building a relationship. It was heartbreaking to see everything Nate went through, so while he didn't get much attention in the finale, a flash-forward to his creation of the Lahey Justice Center is just what he deserved.

Deserved More: Laurel

Laurel is an interesting case, as she essentially disappeared for the last few seasons, only popping up in mentions, flashbacks, and the occasional phone call. She ran away to try and protect her son from her own family, but returned in the final few episodes to testify for Annalise. When the shooting happens at the courthouse, she flees with her son, and she's seen as an old woman at Annalise's funeral.

It's not a terrible ending for her, but it's simply a little unsatisfying - and other than raising her son, it's not totally clear what the rest of her life was spent doing.

Fitting: Christopher

The final scenes of the show echoed the original pilot, with Christopher (who looks exactly like his father, Wes) cycling through campus, to head to class - but this time, he's the teacher, and he repeats Annalise's introductory line, even writing 'How To Get Away With Murder' on the board. It's a perfect end, and one that speaks to how close he and Annalise ended up being, as well as being a beautiful way for the show to come full circle.

Deserved More: Oliver

Conrad Ricamora as Oliver in How To Get Away With Murder

Poor Oliver - of all the gang, he did the least 'wrong' - primarily hacking and some illegal computer activity, compared to the outright murder of everyone else. He found love, but was also diagnosed with HIV, and had to deal with the fallout of that and the impact on his relationship. Then, in the end, he was just trying to find a way to keep his husband out of jail (even if it means lying), but this landed him with divorce papers. Seeing Connor and Oliver together in the flash forward shows that at least they managed to get through this rough patch, but seeing him sob as his husband leaves him is absolutely heartbreaking.

Fitting: Connor

Connor in HTGAWM

Connor was the only one of the Keating crew who actually ended up in jail in the finale - but surprisingly, this felt appropriate, as he actually wanted to go. He was even offered a better deal and turned it down flat - his part in the murder (dealing with the body) haunted him, and he felt the need to serve time as punishment. And in the end, he is still with his husband and presumably has dealt with his guilt, making this a great moment for the character, and a fitting end.

Deserved More: Tegan

Tegan Price became a huge character in the later seasons, and a phenomenal one. She was powerful, unapologetic, and yet still complicated, and she deserved to be given the same attention in the finale as everyone else. However, after helping Annalise and then confessing her love (and being turned down), it's unclear what the rest of Tegan's life was like.

She is seen dancing with Annalise during the montage of Annalise's life, but did they get together? Did Tegan die first? It's all unclear, as this single shot is all fans get - and everyone deserved some more attention on this incredible character.

Fitting: Michaela

Michaela in HTGAWM

Michaela's ending was sad, and she was one of the only major characters who wasn't at the funeral in the flash forward. However, her ending was also a perfect fit. She is seen defending her decision to lie and take her deal, saying that she's suffered enough in her life and deserves the chances she can get now. She is hurt to be left alone, but later seen being sworn in (presumably as a judge, her intention all along) and with two daughters at her side. She gets what she wanted, even if she had to stand alone to do it.

Deserved More: Frank

Frank Delfino from How To Get Away WIth Murder

Frank, like Bonnie, just deserved a little happiness and didn't get it. Sure, he was a murderer and a heavy for the Keatings in a lot of ways, but he also just wanted to help Annalise and try to be a better man. The final season reveal that he was actually the child of incest was brutal, and his decision to shoot the governor for Annalise (and be shot and killed in return) is just another instance of him wanting to do whatever it took to try and help her. Fans can't help but feel like Frank deserved just a little more happiness than he got.

Fitting: Annalise Keating

Finally, the star of the show. Annalise Keating went through an incredible journey over the course of the series, and her ending had fans cheering. She stood up in the end, as herself, and gave an epic speech about her innocence and her place in the world - and won. Watching her win as herself, proud of who she is, and then go on to live a long and happy life, was a perfect ending - and one that satisfied everyone.
