90 Day Fiancé season 6 couple Jay Smith and Ashley Marston had a lot of rocky moments during their season, and many of their scenes involved Jay's barber at GQ Barbershop, Michael Baltimore, who is now wanted for murder. He was seen as a close friend of Jay and Ashley while they appeared in the franchise. Now, Michael is a fugitive who is ducking the law, and an alleged killer.

Ashley and Jay were featured in 90 Day Fiancé season 6, as well as 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 4. Their relationship was filled with turbulence and infidelity, on and offscreen. Ashley is 11 years older than Jay, and they got engaged quickly after they met. When he arrived in the US, Jay didn't have many friends in his new home city. He found a new community at GQ, a Black-run barbershop where Michael worked. Jay quickly befriended the barbers. Owner and future homicide victim Kendell Cook became directly involved in Jay and Ashley's relationship, as he first gave Jay advice on his situation. Eventually, he was the one to deliver the news to Ashley that Jay had cheated on her with another woman in the barbershop bathroom.

According to CBS News, on May 22, 2021, a shooter entered the Carlisle PA location of the GQ Barbershop, and shot and killed Kendell. The killer also shot another barber, who survived his injuries. Soon after the shooting, Ashley shared her condolences towards Kendell and his family on social media, expressing gratitude over Kendell's willingness to inform her of Jay's infidelity. Michael had been arrested for multiple unrelated felonies in 2019, and stopped working at GQ the same year. See Ashley and Jay below:

As of July 2022, Michael has been charged with homicide, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a prohibited firearm. He remains at large, and has been placed on the FBI's "15 Most Wanted" list. There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest from the US Marshals, as well as a reward of up to $14,000 from the ATF and Cumberland County DA, for a total reward of $39,000. Authorities have labeled him as a danger to the community, and do not recommend approaching him.

Michael is considered innocent until proven guilty, and has yet to face a trial. There hasn't been any further comment from Jay or Ashley, who finally divorced in 2021. It is certainly a tragedy that their good friend Kendell was murdered, and fans of 90 Day Fiancé, as well as his loved ones, wait eagerly for justice to be served on his behalf.
