On a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Meredith Marks revealed she and her husband secretly separated. Now, fans are wondering if the couple was able to save their marriage, or if they decided to end the relationship.
Meredith is known in Salt Lake City for being a jewelry designer to the stars. She even owns her own store in Park City. Unlike the other ladies of RHOSLC, Meredith is Jewish (not Mormon) and has been with her husband, Seth, for over 25 years. The couple has been going through a rough patch since their children left the house, and are now faced with issues within their marriage.
A recent RHOSLC episode gave fans a glimpse into Meredith's relationship with her husband while the two were out to dinner together. Seth asked his wife point-blank if she had been telling her friends about their secret separation. It looks like fans will get to see how their marital troubles will unfold as the season progresses. According to Bustle, Seth filed for divorce from Meredith after 23 years of marriage in August 2019, citing irreconcilable differences. Four months after Seth filed, he changed his mind and called off the divorce. Meredith spoke with the Chicago Tribune and revealed the case was definitely dismissed. "I can tell you that much, so we’re obviously not getting divorced. I don’t want to give too much away because I want you guys to watch and see and be invested in the whole process," she added.
Ever since their three children – Reid, 23, Brooks, 21, and Chloe, 18 – moved out of the house, the pair has encountered a few challenges. Meredith explained their relationship has been "volatile" for many years, and their children moving out was the last straw for their failing marriage. The reality star realized, once the couple became empty-nesters, they could not keep breaking up and getting back together for the sake of the kids. Meredith knew she and Seth had to figure out if this was the relationship they both wanted to be in for the rest of their lives.
Even Meredith's costars are curious about the status of her relationship. Whitney Rose revealed in a trailer for RHOSLC that she was confused about Meredith and Seth being very cozy together when she last heard Meredith was seeing another man. It seems the rocky relationship has been smooth sailing since then, as Meredith recently posted a photo to Instagram of her and Seth getting cozy at dinner this past September. "Beautiful dinner with the father of my children @sethstock," the mother of three captioned the sweet image. It seems their relationship drama has come to end, according to Meredith's Instagram. But fans will have to wait and see how the drama goes down as the season progresses.
