Dr. Wendy Osefo and Karen Huger from The Real Housewives of Potomac had it out on the November 1 episode after Wendy was told Karen was taking jabs at her.
While fans are used to Karen's usual antics, as she has been a beloved member of RHOP since the show aired, Wendy is just getting used to her personality. Wendy is a newcomer to the cast and has started to rub the Grande Dame the wrong way. Even though Wendy and Karen have been butting heads this season, fans have taken somewhat of a liking to the Housewives newbie. Wendy represents a strong, powerful, and educated woman, which is what fans love and respect the most about her.
During this Sunday's episode of RHOP, the drama between Candiace Dillard Bassett and Monique Samuels took a back seat to let in some room for new, petty drama. Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon had lunch with Karen, where they discussed what Wendy said about Karen and Ray's finances. Wendy told the ladies that it seemed as though Karen resented Ray for having to use her money to get him out of his tax situation. Gizelle seemed to be concerned about what Wendy revealed and told Karen what Wendy said. "I said I soldiered up for Ray [and] that is why we are where we are today," Karen told them. Gizelle then revealed that Wendy made it seem as though the financial situation was stressful for Karen because she wanted her money back from Ray. Karen quickly denied this claim and was shocked Wendy could make such a statement. "Ray and I are going through a lot and for Wendy to take that information that I shared with her back to Gizelle and make it gossip and make fun of it is not cool," Karen revealed in a confessional interview.
Earlier in the season, Karen vented to Wendy and some of the other ladies at Monique's house about having to get her husband out of tax trouble. In 2018, Ray personally owed almost $1.5 million in back-due federal taxes, and his software company owed more than $3 million. Karen assured the women that she and Ray were fine and what Wendy relayed to them was just her interpretation of the conversation. Karen also admitted to calling Wendy ignorant after Wendy demanded Karen hold Monique accountable for her violent actions. She revealed she still wanted to support Monique and get down to what caused her to become physical. Karen then began to mimic Wendy's walk for Gizelle and Robyn before bringing her career into question.
Later on in the episode, at Robyn's photoshoot for her hat line Embellished, Gizelle told Wendy that Karen was making fun of her. Wendy then confronted Karen. "I find it odd that you were talking about me being a doctor and mimicking me, and you don't even have one degree and I have four," she stated. Karen revealed in her confessional that she wasn't upset with Wendy, but rather Gizelle for twisting her words. She then explained to Wendy that she did not question her education, but rather just mimicked her walking. Karen then proceeded to show her exactly how she imitated her, which led the ladies, including Wendy, to laugh off the situation. It seems Karen and Wendy have squashed their beef and are ready to take on Portugal next week!
