Real Housewives of Potomac star Michael Darby was caught on video groping a male producer. Ashley Darby’s husband is yet again facing scrutiny. This isn’t the first - or second, or third - time that Michael had crossed a line a put Ashley in a tough situation. In the past, the allegations against Michael have involved being caught on camera in bed with another woman. In that situation, he was only wearing boxers, and the voice of the woman in the video was definitely not Ashley’s. On another occasion, Michael was allegedly caught on the gay dating app Grindr.
Despite his inappropriate behavior, Ashley has stuck to Michael and stayed in a relationship with him. Michael has a long history of unsuitable behavior at work and within his marriage. This isn’t Michael’s first offense and it probably won’t be his last. What’s also troubling about this situation is the fact that no one is doing anything to permanently stop him. Ashley doesn’t seem to care about these incidents or thinks that they are not a big deal. In fact, the reality star recently announced that she is expecting a second baby, which is due in February 2021.
Orville Palmer claimed that Michael “grabbed and groped” a cameraman’s backside while he was filming RHOP at Monique Samuels’ house. The particular episode was covering Monique’s rainbow baby shower. In a more recent episode, Michael was caught grabbing yet another member of the crew. The video footage of Michael grabbing another producer’s derriere was shown during an episode of Real Housewives of Potomac. Michael appeared in the background on that particular scene, but he is clearly identifiable. The producer flinched after he was groped, and he appeared to be very uncomfortable. On the other hand, Michael seemed to find his actions to be funny.
Michael has committed a similar offense during Real Housewives of Potomac season 1. At the time, the stars of the show caught him grabbing the backside of Andrew Martin - Katie Rost’s fiance at the time - while on the dance floor during Chrisse Jackson-Jordan’s 50th birthday party. At the RHOP season 4 reunion, Monique, Gizelle, Robyn, Karen, and Candice all claimed that many people in the production staff have been violated by Michael at some point over the years.
The closest person to Michael is Ashley, but she appears to be okay with her husband's behavior. It must also be noted that the producers on Real Housewives of Potomac haven’t taken any serious action to remedy this situation, either.
