Monique Samuels from The Real Housewives of Potomac has claimed that Candiace Dillard Bassett just wanted money after their fight, not an apology. Even though the argument is behind them, both women are still dwelling on the past.

Monique recently disclosed that multiple co-stars tried to have her fired from the show after her physical altercation with Candiace. The women argued that Monique wasn’t apologetic for her actions. But many Bravo viewers are still behind the housewife, and maybe for good reason. Although it might be better to move on from the altercation, Monique continues to trash Candiace in the aftermath of the argument.

Bravo fans tuned in to watch the Sunday, October 18 episode of RHOP, where Candiace finally pressed charges against Monique. Monique has yet to be seen in an episode since the fight, as Candiace and Gizelle Bryant refused to film scenes with her. Candiace and Monique have also not spoken since their 2019 altercation, but each has started to break their silence via social media. On October 19, Monique posted a claim that Candiace didn’t care about the actual charges, she just wanted to see her hurt. Alongside a screenshot from Candiace's lawyer, Monique wrote, "My attorney advised that I only speak to Candice with him present. We asked several times for a mediation sit down and she and her attorney refused. She didn't want to hear an apology! She wanted money." Check out her Twitter post below:

Monique then alleged that her lawyer refused to settle and give Candiace any payout. In response, another email was sent from Candiace’s lawyer saying, “Well we’re going to sue Monique for millions and Bravo will catch it all.” Along with her post, Monique added, I’m gonna leave this here for all those who keep saying I didn’t want to reach out and offer a conversation along with an apology for my part. This email was sent 7 days after the altercation. Not WEEKS. Miss me with the 'acting' BS. This fight is not my storyline. So much so, I was willing to leave the show and focus on identifying my triggers and accepting MY PART in the matter. I did the real work by seeking counsel through my pastor, god dad (who is also a pastor) and a therapist. I’ve grown, healed and have moved on And have never NOT ACCEPTED accountability on MY PART. Have a good day and tune in tonight to Fox Soul’s 'Cocktails with Queens.'"

The entire situation has become messy. Even though the charges were dropped by the state for both women, there still seems to be a massive amount of animosity among the group. The bottom line is Candiace is sticking with her side of the story, and Monique is sticking with hers. It is doubtful the women will ever be friends again.
