Someone send out a carrier pigeon to The Real Housewives of Potomac's Katie Rost because The Sleeper Hit/Eternally Tardy/Ms. Robyn Dixon is coming for her wig gig.

While much of the drama on this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac has revolved around Monique Samuels' physical fight with Candiace Dillard Bassett, Robyn is giving the ladies something new to talk about. The RHOP star has been tantalizing viewers with a vast new array of wiggery and hair fantasies, a bold new move for the fan-favorite that, much like a wig on Katie Rost’s head, did not sit well. While Robyn wore her red curls with confidence, the other ladies in the cast didn't applaud her fashion choice.

Robyn debuted her crimson curls on RHOP at fellow castmate Wendy Osefo’s event to a resounding “no ma’am." The reviews were swift and deft, starting with Le Grand (and recently Bravo-Vulnerable) Dame Karen Huger purring that it was “not a good look." What followed was a soft Australian grilling from Ashley Darby, who gave a simple “I don’t like it." Even worse, her green-eyed BFF Gizelle Bryant decreed that “this wig is not to be repeated." The final blow, however, came from the agent of chaos Candiace with an annoyingly good hot take: “Burn that, and it will probably melt... because I am sure ...she is synthetic."

Of course, in classic Robyn style, she was completely unphased, having posted the criminal wig on social media on October 25, saying, "I heard y’all hate my wig." In a follow-up post with Gizelle and Ashley she wrote, "Yes, this one ain’t it, I know." Robyn is an interesting Real Housewive character in that almost nothing phases her. The Potomac OG has thus far remained relatively unscathed over five seasons, despite a decent dishing of life spice, including getting back with her ex, classic housewife clashes, and, most recently, tax scandals (again).

The Housewives franchise has been embracing wiggery and hirsute pursuits for over a decade. But as the show has evolved over the years, our wives have become more and more comfortable throwing on a new persona, and none more valiantly and daring than The Real Housewives of Potomac. There’s no doubt more “choices” will be made in the upcoming season, so as always, pour one out for the originator of daring decisions, Katie Rost.
