The newest face on The Real Housewives of New YorkEboni K. Williams, had no reservations about doing the show. Even with a big career in law and media, the newest reality star was ready to tackle all the negatives that come with being on TV. 

Eboni K. Williams has a big job in front of her as she holds the juicy red apple for the first time on season 13. The newest Bravo star has been tackling the issue of race on The Real Housewives of New York. Williams is the first black housewife to join the cast and has already openly discussed her experience. She also had Sonja Morgan by her side, breaking down what she was saying to her Upper West Side counterparts.

The 37-year-old Howard graduate may be used to being in the spotlight thanks to her education in law and often appearing on Fox News. She is the co-host of State of the Culture on Revolt TV and has also penned Pretty Powerful: Appearance, Substance, and Success. Williams sat down on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast and cleared the air about any reservations she may have had about starring on the Bravo franchise. Williams told the host that she loves the show. Oh, my colleagues from news and even law, thought I was cray cray, and I get it. I mean, it is. The brand is strong when it comes to Real Housewives and, and a lot comes with it.” But for Williams, it was the next plausible step in her career. In addition, her legal background means she excels in risk assessment, which she applied to her decision to join the show. Williams shared, “So there's, there's any time you make a decision, you're taking some kind of risk. I'm very well aware of what my risks were around coming into this, this world of, of Bravo and Real Housewives.” Williams feels there is so much to be gained from participating in the show that her time spent on the network won’t hinder her career in the long run. 

The newest housewife made it clear that she knows she can gain visibility for herself and other women of color by using her platform correctly. There is space to show who she really is. It is obvious that Williams is proud of her work and accomplishments as she tries to uplift the women around her. She is extremely excited to show her journey to love, family, and motherhood and hopes viewers wish her the best as she tackles this new adventure.
