Bethenny Frankel, the former star of The Real Housewives of New York City, has had many ups and downs when comes to marriage and relationships. Bethenny has been in the dating world for the past eight years after a nasty divorce from her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. While it has been tough for her, the former reality star was determined to find herself a man who would not only love her endlessly, but who would also adore her daughter, Bryn, as well.

When Bethenny first joined the franchise for its premiere season back in 2008, she was in the process of getting her business off the ground and was ready to take the next step in her personal life. At the time, Bethenny wanted to get married and start a family, but those plans were derailed when her then-boyfriend was not on the same page as her. Shortly after her first relationship didn't work out, she thought she found the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, her fairytale ending turned out to be a nightmare. Bethenny's first marriage was to entertainment executive and her former best friend, Peter Sussman, according to NY News Daily. They married in 1996 after just two years of dating, but five years of knowing each other. Bethenny was not interested in him at first, but gave the relationship a chance after he pursued her for many years. The pair were married in front of 150 people at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles. They filed for divorce a year later.

After years of being single. Bethenny met Jason Hoppy. They married in March 2010 and welcomed their daughter, Bryn, just two months later. Bethenny left RHONY during this time and started a new series called Bethenny Ever After with Jason. What began as a happily-ever-after romance soon became rumors of a troubled relationship, reported Champagne and Shade. After less than three years of marriage, Bethenny filed for divorce in January 2013. However, their divorce was nothing short of difficult. Jason and Bethenny were at odds when it came to the custody of their daughter, with Jason even accusing Bethenny of doing drugs. It was announced that they finalized their divorce in March 2021.

Bethenny began a relationship with real estate developer Dennis Shields in 2016. The couple dated on and off for two years before his untimely death in August 2018. Dennis reportedly died of a prescription drug overdose at the Trump Tower in New York City. Bethenny was devastated over his passing, even admitting on an episode of RHONY that the couple was engaged for a short time. Dennis also gave Bethenny's daughter a ring, making the proposal even more special. Bethenny met film producer and real estate developer Paul Bernon in 2018 during her on-and-off relationship with Dennis, but they did not start dating until almost a year after his passing. Paul and Bethenny broke up for a short period of time in September 2020, but were seen together just a few months later. The couple announced their engagement in March 2021.

It has taken Bethenny a while, but she finally found the man of her dreams in Paul. Her relationship with Jason was toxic, and now their contentious bond has finally been put to bed. He has caused nothing but stress and anxiety for the past ten years. Hopefully, the finalization of their divorce means Jason will stop torturing Bethenny. She has loved some incredible men and lost some as well, but now it seems Bethenny's professional and personal life is back on track.
