Before Bethenny Frankel appeared on The Real Housewives of New York City, she nannied for one of the most famous reality stars in the world: Paris Hilton. Now, Bethenny is a successful businesswoman. But she's still reminiscing on her time as a nanny on her new podcast.
The former reality star first arrived on the scene when she starred in the first season of RHONY alongside current cast members Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps. Bethenny quickly became a fan favorite, but eventually left the show when she and Jason Hoppy got married. The couple had two spin-off shows, and Bethenny even had her own talk show in Los Angeles. The two later separated and are still in the middle of a legal battle regarding their divorce and custody of their daughter. Bethenny returned to RHONY five years later and was a cast member for another five seasons. She left RHONY right before filming started for season 12.
According to People, Bethenny Frankel welcomed Paris Hilton on her new podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel, this past Tuesday. Bethenny recalled on the podcast taking care of Paris and her younger sister, Nicky Rothschild Hilton. "Part of the job became coming, in my Ford Probe, to get you and Nicky from Lycée, this sort of fancy French school," Bethenny began her conversation with Paris. "And I remember, we'd go with Kyle [Richards] to the Mobile Mart or the gas station after. And I would take you guys ice skating. Do you remember that? Because you were young." Paris recalled with a laugh and said, yes, she remembered. The two reminisced about when Bethenny would take Paris to the pet store to get ferrets and Nicky to a clothing store called Rampage. "That's so funny, just to remember all of that," Paris interjected. "It's so cute that we've known each other for so long. And look how far you've come, boss babe. A nanny to Paris Hilton, and now killing it!" Bethenny added that it was crazy just how much her life has changed since she was a nanny for the hotel heiress.
Bethenny recalled getting the job through Kyle Richards, the younger sister of Paris' mother, Kathy Hilton, and a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Bethenny and Kyle were, and still are, really close friends and Kyle wanted to help out Bethenny by giving her a job. Now, Bethenny is successful all on her own, which is evident with her new podcast. Bethenny interviews other moguls, businesspeople, and icons of the industry and finds out how they got to be so successful today. Her podcast made its debut last week with Mark Cuban, who appeared on Shark Tank along with Bethenny and Netflix CEO, Bozoma Saint John.
Bethenny sure has come along way since being a nanny for the Hilton family. Not only has Bethenny become a beloved reality star, she is also an extremely successful entrepreneur. Perhaps she owes a bit of that go-getter attitude to her stint with the Hilton family!
