In the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice revealed how much she and her ex-husband, Joe, received from the divorce. After more than 21 years of marriage, the reality TV couple announced their plans to divorce in December 2019. The divorce was finalized less than a year later in September 2020. Teresa and Joe's divorce did not come as a shock to viewers, as the couple both served a certain amount of time in jail for fraud. Teresa served for less than a year in 2015, while Joe served three years once his former wife completed her sentence.

When Teresa and Joe first joined RHONJ for its first season in 2009, viewers noticed a weird dynamic between the couple. Teresa always seemed to be more interested in Joe than he was in her. After Joe's deportation and years of cheating rumors on his part, the beloved New Jersey couple decided it was time to part ways. Even though Teresa and Joe gave the viewers some of the most iconic RHONJ moments in the history of the franchise, this was the best decision for the couple and their family.

During Wednesday night's new episode of RHONJ, the 48-year-old revealed how much she and Joe received in the divorce. In a confessional, Teresa admitted she gets "the house and Joe walked away with nothing." Since Teresa was able to pay off all of his debts while he was in prison, Joe didn't receive anything when the couple finally divorced. "And I’ve been taking care of our daughters for five years now all on my own," she added at the end. Teresa was happy to relay this news to her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Melissa Gorga, as well as fellow castmate Dolores Catania. All three believed Joe would go after Teresa's money once he got out of jail, but he never even tried.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey 5 Times Fans Supported Teresa very public divorce

Earlier in the episode, Teresa and her daughters were getting ready to sit down for dinner when they decided to FaceTime Joe before they began their meal. Teresa and the girls wanted to tell him they chose to put their family home up for sale. Joe said Teresa is allowed to do whatever she wants since she owns the house. Everyone was happy to get Joe's approval, which helped them move forward in selling the home. Both Teresa and Joe have moved on from their past together and are looking forward to their future in this new family dynamic.

Even though Teresa and Joe had their troubles throughout their marriage, he appreciated everything she did for him while he was in prison. Not only did she take care of their daughters, but she appealed his deportation case three times. Joe wasn't the best husband, but he would never try to hurt the mother of his children by taking away money that is used to support them.
