After years of being off the air, Andy Cohen is pushing for NBC to pick up season four of The Real Housewives of Miami for their streaming service, Peacock.

RHOM was only on for a short period of time, airing just three seasons between the years of 2011-2013. The cast included a number of women throughout its time on the air, such as Larsa Pippen, Lea Black, and Joanna Krupa. Now, it seems as though there may be a glimmer of hope in a new season coming back, as the host of the reunion shows and executive producer urges the network to reconsider reviving the iconic series.

According to Us Weekly, Andy Cohen appeared on a recent episode of the Everything Iconic podcast with Danny Pellegrino, where he revealed he has been petitioning Peacock to add the fourth season of the reality series to its streaming platform. “I have really been trying to get Peacock to pick up Miami,” he revealed to Danny. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this. I don’t know where we are with that. I have to say the fans of Miami are still very vocal, and so I’ve been an advocate for Peacock bringing back Miami.” Even though RHOM has been off the air for seven years now, there is still some hope for a comeback with help of Andy himself.

The Watch What Happens Live host also weighed in on why he thinks the series was not as successful compared to the other Housewives franchises. He believes the downfall had a lot to do with the declining health of Elsa Patton, the mother of cast member Marysol Patton. “I think Miami as it was on Bravo really suffered from Mama Elsa not being around in season three,” Andy claimed. “She was very sick. I think she was a more important part of that show than people realized." With Elsa no longer in the show, ratings slowly went down as the season progressed, according to Andy. The rating plummeted even more during the reunion episodes, which never happens. Sadly, Elsa recently died in May 2019 at the age of 84 after a long battle with her illness.

Season one of RHOM premiered in February 2011, starring Lea Black, Adriana de Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, and Cristy Rice. After the first season, Larsa and Cristy left the show, and Lisa Hochstein, Joanna Krupa, Karent Sierra, and Ana Quincoces joined the show for the last two seasons. While the show had not been on the air for three years, Andy finally confirmed RHOM was never picked up for a fourth season in his 2016 book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries. He revealed that, during a Q&A in Miami, he got the question of when the show will be returning and he simply responded, "Never say never." The ladies and even Andy himself did not believe the show would come back, but Andy still felt nostalgic for the series. Hopefully, by Andy putting this information out there to the people, there will be a chance of RHOM coming back for a fourth season. Die-hard Housewives fans will surely be tuning in for the revival.
