As viewers become more acquainted with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newcomer Jennie Nguyen, many are offended by her husband Duy Tran. After seeing Duy seemingly force Jennie into having more children, fans are blasting Duy for his selfish behavior. The couple already has three children together and are no spring chickens. But with Duy wanting to follow traditional Vietnamese culture and have a tribe of children, he's up against Jennie's biological clock.
Fans have already taken a liking to Jennie. She appeared to be the safe replacement should Jen Shah get hauled off to prison, and she meshes with the other ladies well. Jennie also isn't afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to getting in the middle of an RHOSLC showdown. The married mother of three is a successful businesswoman who recently sold her medical spa to spend more time at home with her children. Now that she's home more, her chiropractor husband has been pressuring her for more children and is even open to exploring other options to make that happen.
Jennie apparently wasn't completely smitten by Duy when she first met him. When making her show debut, she recalled how she met Duy on a blind date set up through her sister-in-law. "When I first met my husband, I was like, 'Damn, you have a nice body from the neck down, from the neck up I was like, you know, it was OK.' I didn't tell him. [I was like,] you got me, man. And then we've been together ever since," Jennie said, as noted by Bravo. After getting called out on Twitter, Jennie claimed she was only joking and her husband took no offense to it. "My husband did not take offense to my comment," Jennie wrote. "He knew I was joking. He actually thought it was funny, but I do understand your point of view."
Between Jennie's harsh judgment of her husband's looks and his pressuring for more children, the couple has been under fire on social media. Jennie recently decided to praise her husband in a photo slide posted on Instagram. "Don’t judge because you are not in my relationship," she quipped. In the photo slide, Jennie referred to Duy as the "love of my life," and "my everything." Duy recently created his own Instagram, where he has already shown off his love for Jennie and added his own jokes about her comments on the show. Duy is a successful chiropractor who founded his practice, HealthQuest Chiropractic, in 1992.
Jennie previously told Lisa's kids how she journeyed to America from her native Vietnam. Her story was inspiring and Jennie added a little humor to lighten the mood. Viewers think she and Duy are a great addition to the show, considering the interesting storyline they've featured already. As the season carries on, Duy will go to great lengths to bring more children into the world, even if it doesn't necessarily involve his wife. Jennie is certainly bringing the right kind of drama that will reel in fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
