Heather Gay from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City announced she is coming out with a memoir next year called Bad Mormon. Viewers were introduced to Heather for the first time last year when she joined the first season of the new Bravo series. She immediately became a fan-favorite for her carefree attitude, and her desire to be unconfined by the Mormon religion. While Heather may have wished to be the good Mormon she once was, she knew it wasn't feasible.

Since Heather became part of the show, she has been very vocal about her past in the Mormon church. While she always thrived to be the best Mormon she could be, Heather knew it wasn't the way she wanted to live her life forever. After she decided to divorce the father of her children, her life completely changed, and she embraced her new world outside of the church.

According to People, Heather will be releasing a memoir called Bad Mormon, which will focus on her decision to leave the Mormon church. In the book, the 47-year-old will also be discussing single motherhood and her journey to reality television. The memoir will follow Heather's vulnerable journey to leave the church after growing up Mormon for so many years and even marrying into Mormon royalty. Heather will talk about her difficult but rewarding experience of going through life after an unexpected divorce and the tough decision to leave the religion that was part of her identity behind. "A good Mormon would never write a book like this! I'm excited to tell my story and talk about the parts of my life that never make the TV screen," Heather said to the news outlet.

She added, "I hope that by sharing my experiences people will learn and grow from my mistakes, challenges, and successes." Heather will also touch on the many challenges of being a single mother to three daughters, her current relationship with God and religion, and what life has been like since Heather joined RHOSLC. The book is slated to have a summer release and will be published on July 26, 2022. Even though viewers have seen Heather's life after leaving the church, they do not know how she deals with the backlash of leaving the church and how she navigates through those difficult challenges. Heather has always been an open book on the show, but now she will be able to reveal more in-depth information on her past as a Mormon and how she has moved on from that life.

Fans are excited to get their hands on Heather's memoir once it's released next summer. One thing viewers have always been curious about is how Heather decided to leave her Mormon life behind and begin anew as a single mother of three. It's safe to say her memoir will be flying off the shelves next year.
