Sony Pictures Animation has released a new set of character posters for Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, which reveals the transformation of the supernatural characters into regular humans, and vice-versa. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania is the fourth and final installment of the Hotel Transylvania film series. The voice cast includes recurring actors Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Keegan-Michael Key, and Asher Blinkoff.

In a major casting change for the fourth Hotel Transylvania movie, Brian Hull will star as the voice of Count "Drac" Dracula, who was originally played by Adam Sandler in the first three films. Sandler's sudden exit from the franchise was confirmed in 2021, but the reason behind his absence wasn't revealed. Scheduling conflicts and pay disputes over a reduced budget were rumored to be behind the change, but neither Sandler or production studio Sony ever confirmed this. The story of Hotel Transylvania 4 revolves around Hull's Drac and his friends as they are accidentally turned into humans as a result of Jonathan's meddling with Professor Van Helsing's mysterious new invention. Drac and the pack are then forced to find a way to switch themselves back before the change becomes permanent.

Sony Pictures Animation (via Bloody Disgusting) recently dropped a new set of character posters for Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, which features the transformation of the well-known monsters Drac, his daughter Mavis, Frankenstein, Blobby, the invisible monster Griffin, Wayne the werewolf, and the ancient mummy Murray, to mention just a few. However, Andy Samberg's human character Jonathan undergoes a role reversal, as his poster displays him turning into a monster. Check out the posters below.

Transformania will serve as a sequel to 2018's Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation, which was also the highest-grossing film in the series. While the critical reviews have been mixed to positive at best, the Hotel Transylvania films did prove to be a financial success, with the first three films collecting over a billion dollars in the box office. Hotel Transylvania 4 was originally set to release theatrically a few months ago, but the plans were scrapped due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with Sony choosing to sell the distribution rights to Amazon.

Regardless of Sandler's absence from Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania, the film is setting itself up to be another big hit in the franchise. Based on previous trailers, Hull appears to be a perfect choice for the comedian's replacement as Drac, and will likely bring a unique take on the quirky vampire patriarch in this bizarre new adventure. A 'transformation' narrative is certainly a clever choice for the sequel, allowing the animators to explore different takes on these beloved and well-known characters after three previous films. But whether or not Drac and his family will be able to get back to normal by the end of this next installment remains to be seen.
