Screen Rant exclusively debuts the first posters for The Hot Zone: Anthrax season 2 of the National Geographic science thriller anthology series. The Hot Zone season 1 was based on the 1994 non-fiction book of the same name by Richard Preston and explored the Reston virus outbreak in the Virginia city in the late '80s that was later determined to be the ebolavirus. The series, led by The Good Wife's Julianna Margulies and The Americans' Noah Emmerich, received largely positive reviews from critics and became National Geographic’s most-watched scripted series of all time.

The Hot Zone: Anthrax will be set shortly after the 9/11 attacks and will explore the wave of anthrax letters targeting journalists and politicians sent throughout the country. The new season of the anthology series has drawn in another ensemble cast including Scandal alum Tony Goldwyn, Daniel Dae Kim, Harry Hamlin, The Good Wife's Dylan Baker, Preacher vet Ian CollettiHouse of Lies' Dawn Olivieri and Shadowhunters' Vanessa Matsui. With production having concluded earlier this year in Toronto, The Hot Zone: Anthrax is gearing up to arrive on National Geographic later this month.

The Hot Zone: Anthrax character posters offer an exciting tease of the chilling true story being told in the latest season of the anthology series. It also offers a good look at the ensemble cast featured in the series, namely Daniel Dae Kim in his first lead role on TV after being credited as a supporting star in his other well-known works Lost, Hawaii Five-0 and The Good Doctor. Additionally, Goldwyn certainly looks chilling and accurate as Bruce Edwards Ivins, the microbiologist and vaccinologist who was the suspected perpetrator of the anthrax attacks the series is exploring.

Alongside the cast, The Hot Zone: Anthrax once again has a strong team behind the camera as Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson return as showrunners and executive producers on the new season. The next chapter of the anthology will also see Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker return to executive produce via their Scott Free Productions label with Jordan Sheehan, Richard Preston and Emmy nominee Lynda Obst. The wait for The Hot Zone: Anthrax is nearly over as the three-night event begins on Sunday, November 28 at 9 p.m. EST and will be available to stream on Hulu afterwards.
