David Arquette joins Amazon Studios' Hot Pink. Arquette is an American actor, best known for his work in the Scream franchise. He had notable guest roles in Cougar Town and Friends, both of which starred his now ex-wife, Courteney Cox. Arquette also worked as a professional wrestler, winning the title of WCW World Heavyweight Champion in 2000. His film, You Cannot Kill David Arquette, explores his return to the ring after a lull in his acting career. Arquette comes from a family of actors, his most famous sibling being Patricia Arquette, who recently won both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Hulu's The Act.

According to Deadline, Arquette has been cast in Amazon Studios' Hot Pink, a cutting-edge YA pilot created by Elisabeth Holm. The series, based on Elana K. Arnold's What Girls Are Made Of, is described as "the real, knotted, messy, thriving heartbeat of young womanhood." Arquette joins a reputable ensemble cast including his Buffy The Vampire Slayer co-star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, as well as David Iacono, Nina Bloomgarden, and many others. While Arquette's role has not yet been disclosed, it has been announced that he is cast in a recurring role in the series.

Hot Pink is likely to secure a sought-after younger demographic for Amazon Studios' audiences, as the production company has only made a small number of YA series, like The Wilds and Panic. The addition of both Arquette and Gellar to the cast will draw in fans of dark and biting coming-of-age stories similar to Hot Pink. Although much information about the series is yet to be released, Hot Pink is sure to excite and entice audiences of all ages, as well as mark the return of Arquette to his former small screen stardom.
