Hot Ones put together its 13th season in 2020, and while it was certainly different due to the socially distanced measures put in place, the season provided some of the best episodes to date. With each episode taking place over a video call, the circumstances were certainly different, but as ever, the chicken wings were still hot, and the conversations were still gripping.

As always, the show brought together a wide collection of celebrities, from actors and musicians to models and MMA fighters, and every episode was completely different from the other. But while each episode certainly had a lot of quality, which was the highlight from season 13?

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell was certainly a big name for Hot Ones to bring in, with the legendary supermodel being incredibly well respected, and she gave a fascinating interview that was open and engaging. It was really interesting listening to Naomi discuss fashion in detail, with her knowledge being second to none.

However, out of all the episodes within season 13, this was the weakest simply because of the reactions to the sauces. The best episodes see big responses to them, and while Naomi certainly felt the heat, she did it in a classy manner which didn't quite create the entertainment that other episodes brought.

Saweetie

Saweetie

In comparison to the Naomi Campbell interview, Saweetie really did respond to the sauces in a really funny manner, which made the whole interview incredibly entertaining. However, the actual interview itself wasn't as strong as some of the others within this season.

However, as is usually the case with Hot Ones, there was still a lot of fun to be had within this interview as Saweetie has such a great personality and energy, which made the interview really enjoyable.

Sam Smith

Sam Smith

Sam Smith really struggled with the spice throughout the episode of Hot Ones, which made for a really entertaining viewing experience. As has proven to be the case with the socially distanced episodes, the guests often put far too much sauce on each wing, and that was the case with Sam.

This was especially true towards the end, with Sam using too much sauce on the hottest wings and feeling the pain, which was incredibly funny. Meanwhile, the conversation itself was engaging and interesting, as they talked about everything from British pub culture to the idea of perfection.

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey Hot Ones

Ronda Rousey brought a no-nonsense attitude to her Hot Ones interview, from how open she was within the interview to her interesting way of eating chicken wings. She didn't hold anything back here, especially when discussing her armbar and how she was always pushed to break people's arms, guaranteeing her a victory.

She continued being her incredible open self when discussing how she nearly lost her finger on a film set as well as her final comments to her husband, which certainly weren't PG, but were very funny. Ronda is a one-of-a-kind person and that was clear in this interview, which was superb.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X was a special Thanksgiving episode of Hot Ones, and it really was a ton of fun to watch. He brought a great level of charm and the conversation that he and Sean Evans had was really interesting to listen to throughout, with the music artist having a great personality.

However, his episode will be best remembered for what was the craziest 'last dab' in Hot Ones history. Lil Nas X absolutely drenched the final wing, with he and Evans instantly regretting the decision after, which ended the episode with a bang.

Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe

The Daniel Radcliffe interview was a really fun one from season 13, as he spoke about his love of British game shows and his smaller, independent movie projects. Even the inevitable Harry Potter question had a fun twist as they discussed rap lyrics with the wizard's name in them, which is something that was really enjoyable to watch.

Radcliffe handled the heat fairly well in comparison to a lot of the guests in this season, but even he was tested towards the end. His energy throughout the interview was high, and it led to a great conversation.

Thundercat

Thundercat

Thundercat's interview on Hot Ones was a really smart insight into someone who deeply understands music and looks at things from a different perspective because of that. The responses he gave to the questions asked were really interesting and that helped to make this interview really enjoyable.

He might not have been one of the biggest names in season 13, but that is what Hot Ones always does a good job at, shining a light on interesting individuals everyone should be following. He and Sean Evans had a great rapport in this interview as well, which really shone throughout.

Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey has a big personality, and any interview with him is always a lot of fun to watch, with this one being no different in that regard. He seemed to really enjoy the spicy journey that he was on during this show, and that radiated off him to create a compelling viewing experience.

McConaughey talked about various big projects, including his recent book and how to make a great romantic comedy, but he also spoke about his love for American Football and a funny story about losing a lawsuit against a skincare company when he was younger.

The Undertaker

Hot Ones Undertaker

The Undertaker was a brilliant guest and because he rarely does interviews about his career, this was quite a rare opportunity to hear from him. Because of that, a lot of the stories were fresh and hadn't been heard before, which made the interview really interesting to watch.

Seeing the legendary wrestler battle the spicy wings was certainly a lot of fun, and it was fun to simply see a different side of someone who is so well-known. They spoke about all things wrestling, and for anyone who is a fan, this was simply perfect.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba sits behind a line of hot sauces on Hot Ones

Jessica Alba's episode was easily the best of season 13 for Hot Ones, as this was an absolutely hilarious interview from start to finish. Alba didn't hold back during this, giving brilliant answers to the usual thoughtful questions, as showcased a different side of herself in comparison to how she's usually presented in interviews, due to the open nature of this setting.

However, while the conversation was really interesting and well put together, it was the way Alba tried to battle the heat that made this episode a ton of fun. She had various bowls of ingredients to cool her mouth down, as she ate spoonfuls of peanut butter and literally dipped her fingers into sour cream to suck. But the most interesting was her frozen ball that is meant to be rolled onto someone's face, which she used on her lips, dipping it in all her other options, which created a frenzy in the funniest way.
