Merge Games and Wild River Games are bringing Schleich's Horse Club toys to life in the new Horse Club Adventures video game, now available for all consoles and not just PC (digital download for Xbox One). Schleich is one of Germany's largest toy manufacturers with figurines sold in over 60 countries. With six play worlds to choose from, which include everything from horses to fairies, unicorns, and mermaids, these toys are loved by children and they can use their imagination to create numerous play possibilities.
Wild River Games is a video game publisher located in Munich, Germany a produces games for all consoles and age groups. Horse Club Adventures was published in North America by Merge, an independent video game publisher based out of Manchester, United Kingdom. Merge specializes in publishing collectible games for retail independent developers and publishes software worldwide. Other games they have published include Cloudpunk, Streets of Rage 4, and Vaporum. They are currently working on a remake of Alex Kidd, a fan-favorite, nostalgic Sega game, set to be released later in June 2020.
The two publishers are currently hard at work on Horse Club Adventures, an open-world RPG whose story revolves around Lakeside Riding Stable. In a trailer from Wild River Games for Kids, players personalize their own rider with different outfits, hairstyles, boots, and helmets, and customize and unlock horse embellishments, like blankets and tail types, as the game progresses. With over 40 main story missions, 30 side missions, and mini-games, players get to interact with best friends Hannah, Sarah, Lisa, and Sofia and experience new adventures with them and their horses.
As players progress through side missions, they can collect stickers, photos, and more new items for a customized and immersive experience. There are many characters and areas for players to interact with as well, like the cafe and the caravan. There are even 90 racecourses spread across the open world, inviting players to explore and challenge themselves to achieve the best time. In the game's freestyle mode, players can ride around and explore the terrain of Lakeside on their own. Horse Club Adventures is a single-player game designed for kids 6 and up.
It is probably every kid's dream to have a pet pony/horse when they're younger. Although this is impossible for most kids, toys like Schleich's Horse Club allow kids to have "pet horses" through their imagination. Wild River Games and Merge bringing Horse Club to life with Horse Club Adventures will let kids give their imagination a break and immerse themselves in a reality where they can have the horse of their dreams and explore this open world.
