Normally, within a horror movie, the iconic villains spend all of their time hunting down the helpless victims, attempting to murder them in the most violent manner possible. But what would happen if they were all put into the Hunger Games, and were forced to fight each other for once?

These legendary horror characters have haunted the nightmares of people around the world for years, and each of them has their own terrifying advantages and equally obvious pitfalls which ultimately leads them to fail every single time. Seeing those play out within the Hunger Games in a true battle to the death would certainly be interesting to see.

Chucky

Chucky is obviously one of the biggest horror icons of all time, but inside the Hunger Games, he isn't a character that would thrive. While he could certainly take out plenty of characters with his knife, his size and power disadvantage would be a problem here.

Characters with more power and intelligence would likely be able to outlast Chucky, despite his best attempts and quick remarks. He'd likely just be a character that annoyed everyone else until he was taken out.

Ghostface

Ghostface stands in a doorway in Scream.

There's no doubt that Ghostface is one of the more comedic horror icons, with the real scares often coming from the creepy telephone calls that take place. Ghostface is a classic slasher character, and if they could get their hands on a knife, there's no doubt this horror icon could inflict some damage.

However, the person behind the mask isn't often a strong or dominant figure, like some of the other horror icons. Ghostface often struggles within fights and inside the Hunger Games, there is no doubt that this classic character would be one of the first to go.

Hannibal Lecter

Hannibal Lecter is a different type of horror character in the sense that he really thrives by using his intelligence to give him an advantage. However, he is still just as sadistic as the others, after all, he cooks and eats all of his victims, and that could serve him well in the Hunger Games.

When survival is key and food is sparse, the fact that he is willing to eat his victims could really help him. Because Hannibal is so intelligent, he would certainly be able to outlast many characters, but he isn't quite as powerful or cutthroat as some of the others, which would stop him from winning.

Pennywise

Pennywise

Pennywise typically thrives on being able to prey on the fears of his victims, which is typically why he targets children, as they have a lot more fears. While the inner minds of most horror icons aren't explored in detail, it's hard to see the likes of Freddy Krueger and Chucky having major fears.

Because of that, Pennywise wouldn't be anywhere near as powerful within the Hunger Games. However, he is a trickster and a character who always seems to have an ace up his sleeve. His ability to shapeshift into different characters could help here, in terms of attack and survival, but he wouldn't be able to win.

Werewolf

An American Werewolf In London is one of the classic horror movies, and the villain would certainly do well inside the Hunger Games. The Werewolf is incredibly powerful and scary, and it would no doubt be able to run through many of the other characters, tearing them apart.

The Werewolf isn't easy to stop either, with guns being the best method to take it down, which isn't something that many horror characters typically use. Because of that, the character would likely do well, but the fact it isn't Werewolf form all of the time would stop it from winning.

Leatherface

Leatherface is certainly one of the scariest horror icons of all time, and with a chainsaw in hand, he is also one of the most dangerous. Leatherface would be heading straight to the middle to pick up his weapon, and from that point, he would be a threat to everyone.

He's dangerous and powerful, and that would give him an edge. However, he's not the smartest of characters, and against some of the other icons that could be his downfall. Plus, if he spent time butchering all of his kills, Leatherface would probably get picked off by someone else.

Jason Voorhees

When it comes to iconic horror villains, Jason Voorhees is certainly one that springs to mind, and he would be devastating inside the Hunger Games. Jason is a natural killer, and this would lead to him wreaking a lot of havoc within the Games.

Jason is the type of person that would come out of the gates hot, causing a lot of problems to many other tributes in the Games, likely getting plenty of early kills. But he is someone who could easily be caught out as well, especially by hidden traps.

John Kramer

The sadistic mind behind the traps within the Saw franchise might not be someone most people believe is dangerous upon first sight, due to the fact he is a sickly man. However, he is one of the smartest horror icons of all time, and that would give him a distinct advantage here.

His imagination and ability to create traps to inflict the biggest damage possible would allow him to really thrive in the Hunger Games. John Kramer would certainly be a dark horse to watch, but if he was caught by any of the other characters, he would be in serious trouble.

Freddy Krueger

Freddy Krueger would be a serious threat to every character within a Hunger Games competition. Everyone has to sleep at some point, even these horror characters, and that would allow Freddy to inflict some serious damage, creating nightmares that even these scary characters cannot escape.

In close combat, Freddy is highly skilled, and obviously has a big advantage with the gloves that he wears. While he's not the strongest of people, he is a very creative person, and he's able to get his kills in a variety of ways that would suit him in this type of environment.

Michael Myers

Michael Myers is the ultimate horror icon for a reason, and that is why he would win this Hunger Games. Myers has it all, from being almost indestructible at points, to his incredible strength and lack of emotion, there is nothing that is going to get in his way.

He's a very skilled killer, and if he was to encounter any of these characters, he'd always come out on top. Michael is just very difficult to stop, and it would likely take a team effort to take him down, which the other characters wouldn't do due to their personalities.
