Even before Sony revealed that a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn was in production, there was a lot of speculation the game was already in production. The critical and commercial success of the original title meant that a sequel was all but certain, especially given that Sony will want to ensure they have a wide range of high-quality exclusives following the launch of the PlayStation 5.
It is no surprise that Horizon Forbidden West has become one of the most eagerly awaited PlayStation 5 exclusives. The first game was such a big hit that fans have long been asking for a sequel so that they can explore more of the fictional world.
