Bronya plays a significant role in the Astral Express's adventure on Jarilo-IV in Honkai: Star Rail, so it's only fair that she be rewarded for her hard work with a good character build. Bronya is the adopted daughter/heir to the Overworld's supreme guardian Cocolia and the commander of the Silvermane Guards. In combat, she is a 5-Star Wind character of the Harmony Path.

As a Harmony character in Honkai: Star Rail, Bronya's kit focuses on aiding her allies through dispelling debuffs and Advancing Forward their strengthened attacks, although she is an effective DPS unit. Bronya's Ultimate increases her allies' Crit DMG based on her own Crit DMG, while her Basic ATK is one of the strongest at launch.

Best Light Cones For Bronya

Bronya's Light Cone, But the Battle Isn't Over. In it, Bronya stands pensive between a row of Silvermane Guard officers.

Bronya's incredible and adaptive kit lends itself well to various Harmony Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail. Unsurprisingly, Bronya's best Light Cone is But the Battle Isn't Over, a 5-Star Light Cone containing one of her memories. This Light Cone is multipurpose, supporting both Bronya's Ultimate and her Skill. It can increase her Energy Recharge Rate by up to 18% and regenerate a Skill Point after she uses her Ultimate. However, this only triggers after she uses her Ultimate twice in a battle. Meanwhile, Bronya's Skill increases the DMG of the next attacking ally by 50% for their turn.

This Light Cone works so well for Bronya in Honkai: Star Rail because her Skill automatically knocks the ally she used it on (excluding herself) into the next attacking position in turn order. The ally can already receive up to a 72% DMG bonus for that turn, but this Light Cone would increase that to a maximum of 122%.

Since it can be challenging to pull a specific 5-Star Light Cone in Honkai: Star Rail, it is important to collect alternate Light Cones for Bronya. Luckily, she has another Light Cone holding one of her memories. Memories of the Past is a great alternate Light Cone for Bronya due to its Break Effect boost. Since the Light Cone can increase Break Effect by up to 56%, this will increase the effectiveness of her powerful Basic attack while also providing 8 Energy after she attacks each turn.

Bronya's Basic attack is the best option because of her Traces. After reaching Ascension 2, the Crit Rate of Bronya's Basic increases to 100%. This means all of her Basic attacks will be Critical, and since her Ultimate buff scales off Crit DMG, these attacks will be tremendously powerful. A strong Break Effect can increase this power against enemies with Wind Weakness.

Another great alternate Light Cone for Bronya is Past and Future. With this Light Cone, Bronya can further increase her Skill's DMG bonus by up to 32%. This is less than the bonus from But the Battle Isn't Over, but it is an effective replacement. Dance! Dance! Dance! can work in a pinch, while players who purchased Honkai: Star Rail's battle pass can use Carve the Moon and Weave the Clouds.

Best Relics & Planetary Ornaments For Bronya

Bronya's best-in-slot Relics in Honkai: Star Rail are a combination of a two-piece Eagle of Twilight Line and a two-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor. The former provides a 10% Wind DMG boost while the latter increases Break Effect by 16%. When combined, the two different Relic sets provide extra advantages to Bronya's Basic attack.

Bronya's kit can also work with either set at four pieces. A four-piece Eagle of Twilight Line set will Advance Forward Bronya's action after using her Ultimate. Meanwhile, a four-piece Thief of Shooting Meteor provides an extra 16% Break Effect while regenerating 3 Energy each time Bronya triggers a Weakness Break. Since Bronya's Basic attack is so strong, this should not be an issue for this Honkai: Star Rail princess.

The Planetary Ornaments available to players in the early days of Honkai: Star Rail do not synergize with Bronya as well as the Relics do. Out of all the available Planetary Ornaments, Fleet of the Ageless makes the most sense when compared with Bronya's kit. She doesn't need the Max HP boost provided, but if she can increase her SPD to 120 or higher, her allies' ATK will increase by 8%.

Tips For Building Bronya

Bronya stands in a Geomarrow mine, angry.

Bronya needs the perfect Relic stats to make her Honkai: Star Rail kit shine. Since Bronya's Crit DMG boosts from her Ultimate and scales based on her own Crit DMG, her Body needs to have Crit DMG as its main stat. Her Feet, meanwhile, must have SPD to reach the bonus from Fleet of the Ageless.

Bronya's Planar Sphere should be Wind DMG, while her Link Rope can be Break Effect, ATK%, or Energy Recharge Rate. Any of those three options would improve the strength of Bronya's Basic.

Regarding sub-stats, Bronya can completely avoid Crit Rate due to her Ascension 2 perk. This means Crit DMG, ATK%, and SPD will be a high priority. Switching to Trace priority, Bronya is one of the few characters in Honkai: Star Rail whose Basic attack should be their highest-level Trace. The 100% Crit Rate for her Basic is too good to pass up. From there, players can decide whether to work on Bronya's Skill or Ultimate. Both work well in supporting allies, so it depends on taste. Bronya's Talent can be largely ignored.

Since Bronya is one of the 5-Star characters players can pull on the Stellar Warp at any time, it is easier than usual to collect her Eidolon levels. Bronya is at her best when she reaches Eidolon level four, which lets her launch a Basic attack as a follow-up when an ally targets an enemy with Wind Weakness. Since Bronya's Basic is so powerful, this will be of great help against strong enemies with Wind Weakness. Still, collecting her Eidolon is optional. Bronya is one of the strongest characters in Honkai: Star Rail, whose kit is excellent as it is.
