In 1990, viewers were introduced to Kevin McCallister and his journey in fending off burglars in Home Alone. The movie became a classic and is now rewatched again and again every holiday season. With Macaulay Culkin, Catherine O'Hara, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern as the leads, Home Alone had some of the best '90s actors on-screen.

It's been over 30 years since the movie's release and there have been sequels and remakes to give fans even more Home Alone moments, but nothing beats the original. Culkin was only nine years old while filming the movie. Now a 42-year-old, he's older than O'Hara was when she played his mom. With so much time that's gone by, it's amazing to see how far the actors have come and what they look like now.

Updated on December 3rd, 2022 by Aya Tsintziras: Since Christmas is less than one month away, Home Alone fans are getting excited to watch the popular '90s movie again. The sequel is fun since it's located in New York City and Kevin gets into trouble with the Sticky Bandits but there's something sweet and perfect about the first movie. Watching Kevin try to shave, set traps for Marv and Harry, and appreciate his family more is always a good time. It's fun to look at the cast members of Home Alone and see where they are now and what acting projects they have been working on recently.

Kieran Culkin (Fuller)

Kieran Culkin played Fuller, one of Kevin's cousins. Fuller was closest in age to Kevin, but Kevin acted like he was years older of Fuller due to him wetting the bed. Fuller doesn't have many lines in the film and is mainly seen chugging Pepsi and eating pizza, but Kevin still detested him.

One of the things that some Home Alone fans may not know is that in real life, Kieran is Macaulay's younger brother. Like his brother, Kieran was a star in the '90s after being roles in Father of the Bride, The Mighty, and The Cider House Rules. These days, audiences know Kieran from his work as Roman Roy in Succession, which earned him a 2020 Emmy nomination. The actor also voiced the character

Angela Goethals (Linnie)

Angela Goethals played one of Kevin's older sisters, Linnie. Like Fuller, Linnie didn't have a large role in Home Alone but she's the one who calls Kevin an idiot in French.

When the McCallisters realized that they left Kevin behind, Linnie was seen annoyed by the entire situation with her brothers and sisters in a Parisian hotel. Linnie wasn't the most likable character in Home Alone, but she wasn't the worst. Outside of the film, Goethals has been in and out of acting. According to IMDb, however, she was cast in B4TM and will play a character named Taylor Gentry.

Devin Ratray (Buzz)

Devin Ratray played Kevin's older brother and nemesis, Buzz. In the original movie and the sequel, Buzz does nothing but terrorize his brother. Whenever Kevin retaliated, he got caught and was punished for sticking up for himself. Buzz had very few commendable moments in the series.

In 2021, Ratray was a part of Disney's remake of Home Alone, Home Sweet Home Alone. As poor as a few of the remakes have been, Home Sweet Home Alone isn't as bad as some people think. Ratray played an adult version of Buzz who was now a police officer in the same area he grew up in. The continuation of his character was fun for viewers to see. The actor also played Alfred Hawthorne Hill in an episode of Better Call Saul.

Gerry Bamman (Uncle Frank)

A split image of Gerry Bammany from Home Alone

As rude as Buzz was to Kevin, Uncle Frank, played to curmudgeonly perfection by Gerry Bamman, was even worse. Kevin had one of the funniest quotes in Home Alone 2 when he called Frank a "cheapskate," confirming that Frank used his brother's wealth and connections for perks. Uncle Frank called Kevin a jerk in front of the entire family and threatened to slap him in the second movie when Kevin walked in on him in the shower. All in all, Uncle Frank was not a good family member.

Today, Bamman is 81 years old and hasn't acted since 2015. His final TV series was The Following and he played a character named Charles.

Kristin Minter (Heather)

Kristin Minter played Kevin's oldest cousin, Heather. At the start of the film, she was seen running around with the rest of her cousins but was the most mature. After the family realized they forgot about Kevin, she showed the most concern among the kids.

Minter had a successful career after her time on Home Alone and is most known for her time as Randi Fronczak in ER. Winter also appeared in an episode of This Is Us in 2017. As of late, Minter played Gina in Hightown and just completed a new series called Steffy & Roxy.

Joe Pesci (Harry)

Legendary actor Joe Pesci played the antagonist, Harry. Harry and his partner Marv knew that the McCallisters were leaving their large home for the holidays, so they planned on breaking in and robbing them before they returned. Unbeknownst to Harry, Kevin was left home alone, which meant his plan had a massive speed bump. Nonetheless, through all of his bad moments, Harry had some of the funniest quotes in Home Alone.

Pesci is 79 years old and his acting career has slowed down over the years. His most recent acting job was in 2019's The Irishman, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Daniel Stern (Marv)

Alongside Harry was Daniel Stern's Marv. Marv wasn't as threatening as Harry and was seen as the goofy one. He and Harry had some serious injuries while trying to break into the McCallisters' home and ended up failing when the cops eventually came to arrest them.

Stern has been acting steadily since his time in the Home Alone series. He starred in Dilbert, Manhattan, and more recently, Shrill. According to IMDb, fans can next catch Stern playing the role of Jerry Schiff in Everything's Peachy, which hasn't started filming yet.

John Heard (Peter)

John Heard played Kevin's dad, Peter McCallister. While Peter's wife was going through hell trying to get home to her son from Europe, Peter stayed behind to take care of the rest of the family. He was a dedicated father but not as emotionally invested in the situation as his wife.

Sadly, in August 2017, Heard died from cardiac arrest, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 71. Before Heard's death, he still had projects set to release in the future: The Tale, Living Among Us, and Imprisoned. His final film, Broome Street, is in post-production.

Catherine O’Hara (Kate)

A split image of Catherine O’Hara from Home Alone and in later in an interview on screen

Catherine O'Hara played Kate. As Kevin's mom, some fans felt that it was a Home Alone plot hole that she forgot her youngest at home. But considering how busy the day was and how many people she was in charge of, accidents happen. Kate spent most of the movie trying to get back to Chicago to find her son in time for Christmas.

O'Hara is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. She's been in the spotlight since the '70s and starred in well-known projects like Beetlejuice, Six Feet Under, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Skylanders Academy. More recently, she won an Emmy for her acclaimed role as Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek. O'Hara's most recent projects include Skaelka, an episode of Central Park, and an episode of Kids in the Hall. O'Hara is also attached to Argylle and Pain Hustlers, two movies that are in post-production.

Macaulay Culkin (Kevin)

Macaulay Culkin played eight-year-old Kevin McCalister. As the star of the film, Kevin was one of the youngest of a big family and was tired of being ignored and belittled. He finally got some quiet when his family went away for vacation, forgetting him at home. Kevin's peaceful solitude was disrupted when two thieves tried to break into his home, forcing him to create deadly traps to protect himself and his home.

Since Culkin's childhood fame in the '90s, he has lived a relatively quiet life outside of the public eye. He started acting more consistently in 2016 before joining the cast of American Horror Story in 2021. After playing Mickey on that popular series, Culkin played Harmon Freeman in two episodes of The Righteous Gemstones and voiced a character in Entergalactic.
