Warning: SPOILERS for Netflix's Hollywood.

Netflix's latest American drama, Hollywood, focuses on fresh faces aspiring to find their big break in Tinseltown - and here's what happens to each character after season 1 ends. The miniseries doesn't just focus on the Golden Age of Hollywood; it rewrites the script with a "what if" approach. Co-created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, Hollywood features an ensemble set of characters who each have their own interesting journey in the film industry.

At the center of Hollywood is Jack Castello, Raymond Ainsley, Camille Washington, Archie Coleman, Rock Hudson, and Claire Wood - six newcomers trying to make a name for themselves. The industry likes to play it safe in the post-WWII era, but that changes when Avis Amberg takes over Ace Studios. The evolution of Hollywood is encouraged by two key studio executives, Dick Samuels and Ellen Kincaid. While the actors and crew try to meet expectations, they are also faced with the town's culture when it comes to meet pimp, Ernie West, and talent agent, Henry Willson.

The dynamics start to change when Ace starts developing Meg, a film led by a black actress, something unheard of at that time. Issues arise after the studios' legal team gets hold of the film and destroys it to stop it from being released. When it seems like all hope is lost, the editor reveals that he made copies of the film, so the cast and crew move forward with the release of Meg. It ends up being an absolute gamechanger in the industry and to the segment of the public that craved a change in the stories that were told on the big screen. While the Academy Awards were a major moment in the Hollywood's finale, the futures of the main characters also came into focus.

Jack & Claire Are Starting A New Chapter Together

Hollywood

Jack and Claire attend the Academy Awards together after embarking on a romantic relationship. Their movie, Meg, is up for several big awards and Jack is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. He ends up losing to Edmund Gwenn, the actor from Miracle on 34th Street, but Jack is still entirely grateful when he reunites with some of the cast and crew in the green room. To thank them for the support, Jack reads the acceptance speech he prepares, which includes a marriage proposal to Claire. After being left by his wife, Henrietta, Jack and Claire find true love. She accepts the proposal as the two prepare to enter another chapter of their relationship. Jack seemingly becomes the big star he always dreamed about after being cast as one of the leads in Ace Studios' new project, Dreamland.

Henry Wants To Make Amends

Hollywood

Henry isn't the most professional agent in Hollywood - or in Hollywood - when it comes to treating his clients with the respect they deserve. He demeans them, takes advantage of their innocence, and manipulates for his own benefit. After being treated as less than equal at the Oscars ceremony, despite serving as a producer, Henry realizes that he needs to change. A year after the success of Meg, Henry meets with Rock to make amends. Rock doesn't forgive and rightfully so but Henry shares that he's in the process of making a movie about two gay men. Not only does he want Rock in the picture, but he also wants him to be one of the lead characters. Henry later pitches the idea to Avis as a way to memorialize Dick, who recently died. The film, Dreamland, ends up becoming Ace Studios' next big project in Netflix's Hollywood finale.

Raymond Is A Big-Time Director

Netflix

Raymond stood firm with his visions with Meg and that stubborn demeanor pays off. He ends up winning Best Director at the Academy Awards and becomes Ace Studios' go-to guy for directing. When the new project, Dreamland, comes up and carries a ton of potential, Raymond signs on to direct. Seeing as he built lifelong friendships among the cast and crew at Ace, he feels comfortable enough making another project that will surely stir up controversy. Standing by his friends is more important than any backlash he may endure during his time behind the camera.

Archie & Rock Find Personal And Professional Growth

Netflix

Archie and Rock were comfortable being boyfriends behind closed doors but they take a risk at the Oscars ceremony by walking hand-in-hand on the red carpet. The pair proudly accept who they are even though members of the public may not agree. Archie ends up winning the award for Best Screenwriter and comes out as gay during his acceptance speech. The truth hurts Rock's career opportunities but he's okay with it as long as he gets to be with Archie. After meeting with Henry, Rock is given another chance at being an actor with the biggest role to date, a lead in Dreamland opposite Jack. Archie also accepts the position of screenwriter for the title while getting a shot at another influential story.

Camille Opens The Door For Other Underrepresented Actors

Netflix

After getting the titular role for Meg, Camille shines as a lead actress. She ends up winning the Oscar for Best Actress, inspiring young women and people of color around the world. Hattie McDaniel, an actress from Gone with the Wind, meets her in the green room to give her thanks before they meet again a year later to reminisce on their journey. Camille is now perceived as a superstar in Hollywood, since the public seems to accept her. Not only did she earn new opportunities, but she also gives diverse figures and other aspiring actors hope for change when it comes to the standards in society.

Avis Tries To Revolutionize The Industry

Avis Amberg smoking and drinking in Hollywood.

When Avis first took over Ace Studios - when her husband was sick - her biggest concern was keeping the business afloat. When the opportunity arose, Avis is encouraged to greenlight Meg as a way to push the industry in a new direction. She's initially concerned but stands by her decisions and it greatly pays off. Meg ends up breaking box office records and wins big at the 20th Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Avis gains full control of the studio after her husband's death and after the success of Meg, she refuses to back down. At Dick's funeral, she converses with Henry about his new film pitch with gay men at the focus. Avis fully supports the idea as it will continue the tide for change, making her one of the most influential figures in Hollywood.

Hollywood

At the start of Hollywood, Ernie ran a gas station that served as a secret brothel. His employees quickly recognize his worth and help give him a role in Meg. Though suffering from a serious illness, Ernie finds a career resurgence as well as a new lover in Ellen. The duo complements each other well and the timing couldn't have been better.
