Hogwarts Legacy might send players to Hogwarts Castle to learn about being a wizard, but the game includes a reminder that it isn't the only wizarding school. Players who've read the Harry Potter books or watched the movies might already know about some other schools for wizards that are in different countries. But Hogwarts Legacy puts the spotlight on Uagadou, a wizarding school in Africa.

Players begin as a fifth-year student in Hogwarts Legacy rather than as a first-year due to special circumstances. However, another student sympathizes with the player because she has been in the position of new student after transferring to Hogwarts from another magical school. Natsai Onai's former wizarding school could be Hogwarts Legacy's opportunity to expand beyond Hogwarts to other schools in a sequel, and she's more than willing to share information about the magical Uagadou.

Uagadou Is A Ugandan Wizarding School In Hogwarts Legacy

Uagadou is located in the "Mountains of the Moon," and it's the largest wizarding school in the world. In Hogwarts Legacy, Natty mentions that she first saw it when it was surrounded by mists, a common occurrence that, when combined with its lofty location, makes the school appear as if it floats. Unlike Hogwarts, which has a whole castle as the school, Uagadou is carved into the mountains, a sight that Natty remembers as being breathtaking.

Uagadou's Witches And Wizards Don't Use Wands

Being at Hogwarts has gotten her used to using a wand, but Natty tells the player that students at Uagadou feel a more instinctive connection to magic, and as a result, they tend to not use the customizable wands of Hogwarts Legacy. Although players might agree with Natty that using a wand to cast spells has a more dramatic feeling to it, she also mentions the benefits of being able to use spells even in situations where she doesn't have her wand with her. Despite liking Hogwarts as well, Natty admits that she does miss her original school and its mysterious charm from before she transferred schools due to her mom getting a job as a professor.

Hogwarts Legacy expands on the wizarding world of Harry Potter, and it might give players hope that a future game could be set in a different school, such as Uagadou, rather than Hogwarts. While the story is focused more on Ancient Magic in Hogwarts Legacy instead of the experiences of being a student, the school aspect of Hogwarts Castle still plays a role in the player's journey. However, developers could consider expanding to other schools like Uagadou as a setting in games that follow Hogwarts Legacy.
