One of the first side quests that players can complete in Hogwarts Legacy, is Gobs of Gobstones from Zenobia Noke. In this quest, Zenobia asks players to find all 6 Gobstones that her classmates have hidden around the castle. While this quest isn't particularly difficult, some of the locations might not be immediately apparent to players.

It must be daytime in order to start the quest from Zenobia Noke. Use the wait function in the map menu to change from night to day.

How To Find Gobstones

In the quest, Gobs of Gobstones, players must traverse the castle to the purple circles located on their minimap. These areas are also pinpointed on the main map with a quest marker. The Gobstones in these locations will be hidden in places high above the player. Casting Revelio can help highlight their location. Once found need to be retrieved by using the spell Accio when aiming at them.

All Gobstone Locations In Hogwarts Legacy

The screenshots below will help guide you to location of every Gobstone. In case you get lost, we've included a map that also highlights the nearest fast-travel Floo Flame to help orient yourself.

First Gobstone Location - Transfiguration Courtyard

The first Gobstone is located in the Transfiguration Courtyard. Either head north down the stairs in front of Zenobia or take the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame and look up at the archway to the right. The Gobstone will be in above the second arch near the middle of this bridge.

Second Gobstone Location - Viaduct Entrance 1

The second Gobstone is located in the Viaduct Entrance in the Library Annex. Continue through the double door in the Transfiguration Courtyard and up the stairs to the right or take the Divination Classroom Floo Flame. Once at the floo flame, turn left into the wooden rafters above the Central Hall. The Gobstone will be in the rafters here.

Third Gobstone Location - Viaduct Entrance 2

Head up the spiral staircase from the Divinations Classroom Floo Flame in the previous step. The Gobstone will be on the chandelier in the center of the stair well at the top of the stairs, before the ladder.

Fourth Gobstone Location - Ravenclaw Tower

Travel down the stairs and across the Library Annex towards the Grand Staircase, or take the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flame. Once there look up to the right and the Gobstone will be near the ceiling.

Fifth Gobstone Location - Trophy Room

Continue up the disappearing staircases of the Grand Staircase to the top floor, or take the Trophy Room Floo Flame. Once there look above, to the left (southwest) of the Floo Flame, there will be a Gobstone on the archway by the window.

Sixth Gobstone Location - Trophy Room 2

The final Gobstone will be in the room behind the Trophy Room Floo Flame. Head inside and look up to the northern wall with the trophies on display, it will be on the top shelf.

Should You Keep The Gobstones

Once all the Gobstones have been retrieved head back to Zenobia Noke to complete the quest. In the dialogue, the player can choose to return the gobstones or give them back. Both choices do not have any major impacts on the game and will not help or harm your progression.

What happens if you give the Gobstones back?

Zenobia will react positively towards you and say she'll go try playing with the other students again. She will continue to respond nicely to the player anytime they come across her again and you will receive the reward.

What happens if you keep the Gobstones?

Zenobia will react negatively and then turn away. She will continue to be angry towards you throughout the game and the other students will respond positively towards you. You will still receive the reward if you don't give her the Gobstones.

Gobs of Gobstones Quest Reward

The Orbicular - Violet Wand Handle is the reward for completing the Gobs of Gobstones Quest. Access the Wand Handle Appearances from the Gear Tab in the Main Menu and click on the Wand Handle slot to see all the collected wand handles you have unlocked.
